Agree 100% Ebony, but you know the drill. Might as well provide the formula, we used it well back when Kaner got hurt to get the suspended one, Vermette.

Yes. In the GM boardrooms it is known as "The Stanley Bowman Shuffle".

It comes with a big CUP and a lot of dancing!!!

Well, at
East I only post TWO times in the old blog after the new one was up, one less than the time before...

- wiz1901

No sh*t Wiz.....gets me every time too.

Saw your two posts from back there; since he played last night, even though it was only 3 minutes, I'm assuming they can't retroactively go back to yesterday.

Watching last night's game, Chychrun stood out to me for Zona. Big hitter, stay at home d-man. Might be a good one in the making. Always loved Ekman-Larsson but alas he'll never be ours. Guy does everything and special teams stud.
- Assman22

That's what he homer announcer kept saying, but after that hit did you see when while he was in his own slot, he started to blow out of the zone and the Hawks forechecked the puck away and he ended up on his back?

He was always looked at as an already grown kid whose upside maybe a second pairing...we will see if he gets there.

Perspective.

Hanzal is a first line centre with the Coyotes...

Curious about this,
Now that Taj is out with the Bulls, who are the top ten tenured Chicago athletes. I know he was in there. So was Gould before last season with the Bears.

Toews, Kane, Keith, Seabs, Hammer, Crawford, Hossa, Kruger are all in the top 10.

Who are the other two? Cutler I would guess and idk about the last.

It was, but it still says it's about a 10% chance in that article. Sibir would have ot let him off the hook before April 30, and they said no contact from the Hawks.

Good points to ponder Doh but do you really think they'd trade Seebs? I just don't think they'll ever trade him, at least not now. Probably a 70% chance he'll retire a Hawk. One thing you can say about this team is they value loyalty (most of the time, LOL) and he's been a warrior since day one.
- ILGolfer

Someone has to go. If they move Seabs and Kruger, they can keep Crawford or if they have confidence in Darling they could move Crawford too. If they move Crawford, Seabs and Kruger it would free up $16 mil in cap space (less the salaries they took back in the trades).

I know they like Seabs, Crawford and Kruger very much and would hate to trade any of them. They probably hated trading Sharpie, Ladd, Oduya, Byfuglien and others too. But if they did they make the trades they would get younger and have a ton of flexibility going forward.

Can't recall the last time EK nailed a rumor to fact. I don't even read his stuff anymore, only JJ.
- Assman22

Totally Agree..... EK is brutal........ JJ is usually SPOT ON !!
Great work JJ as usual. Please keep the information coming on Hanzel and a possible added Dman. Both are needed for a big run....... or......would really love
to get Boyle to add some size and net presence to this team...... if Tampa continues to fall, is there any chance of acquiring him ??????

I think technically that might not be the case. I dont follow much baseball and even less a few years ago. But apparently Kris Bryant is technically the longest tenured Cub which is really weird to think..

Understandable Doh for sure. You know McD would "like" to move Crow and his f-bombs and some of his off ice behavior. Mr. Marketing is all about the brand for sure. Not sure moving him is the best idea but you know sometimes the tail does wag the dog.

There is a lot to dislike about this team too, like how they can get away with cheating the cap by paying players to NEVER play a game for their franchise. Someone needs to ask Bettman about that!
- powerenforcer

They are not cheating. They are playing by the rules the Players Association and the NHL owners agreed to. I have no problem with that what so ever. Were the Cubs and the Hawks cheating when they were so terrible that they had really high draft picks. If AZ does not do something stupid they could be serious contenders in two years.

Rizzo with the Cubs since Jan. 6, 2012....Bryant since 2015. Rizzo the longest tenured Cub. Heckler not even close.
