Plenty of Letangs out there huh? Lots of top 7 dmen in the world available? Eaves for a second, a lot to give up for a 33 year old that averages 9 goals a year having an anomalous year. He was in the AHL 4 years ago. 3rd for Jurco too seems a little by high. If these are the prices for below average talent I don't wanna pay.

As I said yesterday, I think it's going to be be average talent being overpaid with lots of 2nd & 3rd rounders being thrown around but no big trades (unless the Rags do Shatts - who they may get for free after the season!!).

I don't think the Blues will find Nirvana this season trading Shatts.

Yeah if it was the first classic up in Buffalo I'd be all about the experience, now just watching on tv I can't ignore the gimmickyness of the outdoor games.

Hainsy may surprise you a little. He spent the first part of his career on the PP in Atlanta and still has those quick transition offensive skills. I'm sure someone is going to throw a chart or a graph in my face just to be a gaping, infected a$$hole but those things are pretty much meaningless. But you can tell who learned everything they know about the game from playing the video games and making trades with their ranking systems. I don't think the Lovejoy comparison is fair, I think he's more talented and a little more physical.

Its only 1 expansion pick for them. Even if schultz is just a 1 year rental he's likely to finish top 10 in pts for dmen this year. That might appeal to them for the short-term while leaving us F$cked next year on defense.

If you're not into the experience save yourself the frustration and stay at home, I'very been to every Winter Classic so far(obviously including the previous game at Heinz) and the viewing experience has been poor at all of them. Outdoor games are 100% about the ambiance and the spectacle so if you're not into that you will be more miserable than you usually are.
