So the bumhole that makes it hard to find the Islander broadcast on TV will build them and arena? The guy that gives the Devils broadcast priority over the Islanders? No thank you. I can't even imagine how bad he would (frank) with us. - JimmyP
Can't be worse than the old poop hole we played in and the new poophole we currently play in.
I welcome his interest. |

It probably wouldn't take much. He hasn't done jack-poop since he's been here. 1g 7a in 13 games. For someone with his "skill", he sure as hell isn't showing it here. It could, perhaps, be that there isn't enough talent on this team to help him out. However, when Perlini was sent down while the Coyotes were on their break, he had a hat trick (3g, 1a) in the lone game and looked dominant. Just my thoughts on it. - Isleshockeyman
Who knows why Duclair didn't play well. Maybe he just hates it there or maybe he was jammed on a line with crap because he was a young, non-marquis player. Maybe he really sucks.
I'm just saying he might not be very expensive and is one of those "low-risk, high-reward" moves that Snow loves so dearly. I'd be happy with it, assuming the price was around what I think it will be. |

Mayfield brings toughness and physicality that this team sorely lacks. We have enough offensive dmen. We need a Rich Pilon type. Mayfield brings that edge. - Mancalledsting
I get that Masc I just thought his skating would be a detriment but he's anticipating the plays and is not getting caught out of position.
I'm shocked how well he's played and I'll admit I didn't think he would.
Pleasant surprise |

What's the latest on his health? Is he expected back soon? I'd love to see him 100% healthy, playing back in the 2nd pairing, under Weight. That would hopefully push Seidenberg up to the press box. - JohnScammo
Started skating last week. |

So if I get this right every other Arena story or story written was bunk.

Oh, I agree. That's why I stated that. Could help as a bargaining chip. "The kid can't even score in the AHL? Come on, Chayka. I tell you what, I'll throw you a bone and give you a 3rd rounder for him". Something like that. Hating the Arizona organization could very well be part of it. |

I know the Rangers probably did not want to trade him, but if he gets traded again that's 3 teams in a short period of time. I could make sense depending on the price though. |

So THIS is what L&M have been working on. As long as its a state of the art arena built for hockey first, sounds good. With the three companies mentioned being involved and if cuomo is backing it, this could become reality sooner rather than later. |

I'm not sure why the owner of a team would throw in to build an arena for their main rival. Outside of it's an investment and could charge the Isles crazy rent to play there. Which opens the door to so many different possibilities. |

probably to dismantle us since we Own the Rags.
all kidding aside. Queens is best alternative to going back to Nassau.
Belmont would be as big of a waste as Brooklyn. |

If i'm Garth i'm offering Hammer,Nelson and a 1st pick for Duchene. If Sakic says no then screw him. Adding Barzal or Pulock to this trade is ridiculous.
I think that all this attention regarding Duchene and Eberle is a perfect smokescreen for Snow to pull off something. I believe Garth is going to add someone huge that hasn't been mentioned yet. I'm pretty sure he got Vanek,Smyth,Leddy, and Boychuk without any rumors prior to it happening.
It's going to be a good deadline for us and even better if we get rid of Nelson to make it happen.

I welcome anything that gets us out of BC.
It is not the answer. Could you imagine playing at MSG for a year or two waiting on the new Arrna to be completed, Islanders home game at MSG! |

Pretty sure the islanders owners will own a stake in this as well and won't be paying rent. Dolan is an investor in one of the company's that would be joining with others that would finance it. It's just another way for Dolan to make a little extra cash. Nothing is going to hurt business for MSG. Every act comes to NY to play MSG first regardless of what other arenas are around. This would be facking awesome if it goes down. Not saying you're complaining but not sure how anybody could complain about this. Dolan will just be part of an investment group. He will not be calling the shots like he does at MSG |
