Look, it doesn't matter what I say. If I say up, you guys are gonna say down. The word fan is short for fanatic. We all reserve the right to criticize this team if we notice errors. What I take exception to by the direction of this team is, we have a window, a real opportunity to improve before October. The Vegas draft, talented youth coming up, UFAs on the way out. Shifting the focus on the goaltending, we have an opportunity to play our two goaltenders, make a decision by Tuesday Night and get one out for the most we can possibly get. I'm not sure you can do this if one doesn't play. - SuperSchennBros
I agree to a point. I think the NHL book already has a few chapters on both these guys. Teams know both guys can be lights out but have been rather inconsistent this year. Hextall has had enough time to form a plan going forward. By Tuesday night there is no reason "not" to become a seller in my view.....To me either guy could be sold off as a rental. |

Sure, but these guys aren't new. The league knows what they are and what they're capable of. I doubt that a good game or two, or even a clunker or two, or not getting recent starts from either one is going to change anyone's mind about them. |

You really think Mason was gonna hold Edmonton at home to 2 goals or less? He couldn't manage that against Carolina or the Islanders after the AS break, and playing poorly in those games is how he ended up benched. - Feanor
We'll never know for sure. |

Mason has been pretty good in his Flyers career except for this season. I hope Hex doesn't forget that and blindly chase Bishop. |

I agree with most of this, but keep in mind that Hakstol's job is to try to win hockey games, and he's the one making lineup decisions. If he thinks that playing Neuvirth every game gives the team a better chance to win, then he should do it. |

I think Hextall would be more likely to after a cheaper target, like Darling.
Chicago just signed a goalie they can expose if they trade Darling before the ED. |

You know that there is a very real possibility that nobody wants to trade for one of our goalies. Thats really possible. |

MacDonald and Wiese for Drouin and Bishop. Cap numbers work nicely. |

Well, assuming Bishop as a swap for Mason/Neuvirth, it's just a Drouin trade. |
