Personally, the appeal of the WC was that it was once a year. Now that there multiple outdoor games every year ("But only one Winter Classic" - NHL), I have no interest.

Probably makes for some great one liners in the locker room.

Yes. And I am fully aware that this is highly unusual weather for February. Nevertheless, the more of these games you have, and the later you have them, the risk for unfavorable conditions rises.

My overriding point is that there are too many outdoor games now anyway.
