why do they lose the cap space next yr?
i know cap will be flat next season but i didnt know its a use it or lose it option.
contract inflation? why lg rule? please explain - Dundee13
it just works out that they have 10 million in deadline cap space this year that they can't take into next year
no reason to try and figure out why, it's just the way it is |

Shattenkirk has scored 7 powerplay goals for the Blues this season
nobody on the Rangers has more than 5 - jimbro83
And he wants to be here, I'm full jumping on this train. Get him here next week. |

If the Rags made a move on Shatt, which Dman would be on the way out, if any? We'll take Nash of your hands if you need to free up some space |

When Shatty turned down Tampa Bay offer of $7 mil for 6 years, he placed the Blues front office in a real bind. The message was, I want to be a Ranger. Nothing is certain, but the Blues may have to accept pretty much what the Rags will offer, as long as they can save face. If that's Nash, so be it. |

No. There could be more than one deal, and keep in mind, these deadline deals for playoffs teams can be tricky. Don't want bad karma.
In 94' Keenan really put pressure on Neil Smith to get certain players in for the run, but the nucleus stayed in tact. |

It was. Funny how great Anderson was all game & OT & then gives up 2 quick SO goals & it's over. - B2B76
Yah, the team as a whole is terrible in SOs. |

In 94 the gamble paid off (short term at least), but in 96 he tried to replicate that magic & made some awful deal short & long term. |

I saw, 1-7 in shootouts? That's a lot of lost points. |

Add Shattenkirk to the list of late 20's we've signed. Redden, Richards, Drury, Gomez, Girardi. How have all of them turned out? |

I hate all these losers "I wanna play for the rag $$ and Noone else" real babies. Why nyr? I hope they trade skjei and a first for him, get roasted first round, then can't decide if I'd rather he signed a huge deal and sucked or ran outta town after the loss.
Clearly joking- a bitter fan. Zacha has a concussion I am allowed |

Last night's game was awesome. Reminded me of the Ranger/Panther game where Beezer and Richter earned shutouts each in a 0-0 game. Goalies were both awesome last night.
I have to disagree to a point with you, Jan on Stepan. His shot is probably an NHL-worst when aiming at an empty net, but he was not that bad last night. He did have a few great passes to Nash that set-up great scoring chances, but again, the goalies were the stars of the game. Remember, AV has put the Stepan line against the opponents best lines the past month or so. That's going to hinder some of his production. |

Those trades for and in the 94 season worked out...thankfully!
Though, Smith traded Weight, Amonte, and Gartner to name a few that made me |

I get it but just don't think he was that good. But open to dissenting views as I clearly am not always right. |

Don't remind me about Amonte, still pissed about that trade even with the Cup win. Weight less so but they overpaid. |

if Shatty is over the hill so is McDonagh

...and even with all the wheeling and dealing, it still came down to a bold prediction by Mess, a couple of double OT scrabble goals, a goal post with 10 seconds left in game seven, and the playoff of a lifetime by Mike Ricter, before the could hoist the cup. Just think, without all of that, we'd be waiting 77 years. |

which is why I wanna torch someone's house if they claim "we bought the Cup"
because that implies it was easy, and I've never seen something accomplished that was so difficult to do |
