Played with Kessel most of the year. Kessel was Leafs best player. Bozak did not play with fourth liners or rookies. He has major consistency issues. Not streaky - disappears.

So you think Vegas takes Martin in the expansion draft if we leave him exposed?

I wouldn't expose Bozak or Uncle Leo. I think if you are going to lose them to expansion then trade them before you get nothing for them. That makes zero sense. I would rather lose Rychel or Martin before not getting anything for Bozak or Leo.

I doubt LV would take Martin over a young guy like Rychel.

That's the thing with he and van Reimsdyk. I hate to speculate on things like work ethic because they are hard to quantify as an outsider. But Bozak and JVR look more like low-intensity floaters than anybody else on the team. Which is frustrating to watch.

All the young kids are flying out there every night, even the opposition refers to the Leafs as a fast skilled team. Granted last year JVR and Bozak looked fine speed wise however their teammates were Laich/Greening/Boyes/Winnik/Froese but compared to this year and the fast skating kids they look slow.

We still need vets but long term I am not sure there is a fit with 1 or maybe both of those two.

I would rather not lose any young player, Leaf management is smart they will tilt this in their favour - there will be plenty of trade action before the expansion draft - after this years trade deadline.
