If the back half of our sched was weaker id say maybe but that was the first month of the season. Points dropped there largely due to eichels absence will come back to bite us imo.

I seriously hate when people claim that another player traded "set the market".

Stone "set the market" at a 3rd round pick, then the market "reset" with Hainsey and it's a 2nd round pick.

I'm pretty sure not every deadline defender is the same value.

I think so. I do feel that the Sabres take more heat because of Toronto's surprising season. The comparison seems inevitable.
