FWIW the game had stats last night that we've been the worst team in the league since the allstar break - 2Real
I missed that one. I saw the stat showing us 29th overall in pretty much all standings related stuff, but that was since the ten game streak ended.
Which in a way, is much worse. |

What if Mason has played his last game as a Flyer? - Feanor
I'm inclined to think that they are playing Neuvy so much because they plan to trade him. I just don't see any other logical reasoning.
...There is logical reasoning behind decisions, right? |

I don't think so. He's been very consistent with the Flyers and every goalie has an off season. - Streit2ThePoint
Yup, every year from April/May/June to September. |

i will if we finally get a player like Seth Jones, Patrick Laine, etc by just losing a few more games instead of taking meaningless points to make people feel good |

Im thinking after the outdoor game their will be a fire sale. Everybody is getting ready for the game so I doubt the players would be moved. Now watch..all ufa's will have injuries due to poor ice conditions at the game on Saturday and none will be traded. - jmdodgeser4
I thought this too. To add, Some NHLers never get to play an outdoor game in the league. Perhaps it's let's let them enjoy the game then pack their bags. I wonder if Pitt would have any interest in MDZ too. |

That already happened in 2015. Provorov is having a better 19 year old season than Jones did. |

Ah good point, it also hurts Mason's leverage in contract discussions. Genius |

I was thinking to myself how nice it would be to luck into a guy like Seth Jones with the 4th pick after he was supposed to go 1st overall...but we got Provorov 7th |

Would you rather have a 55 point player for the next 4 years or a guy who scores 65 points 2 years and 30 points 2 years? |

Yes but flyers need a scoring winger and a 1 line center to reach the second round of the PO in 2021 |

I will be disappointed if at least 3 Flyers are not traded in the next 6 days. - Baxter27
Streit, Schultz, Bellemare, Vandevelde and Del Zotto have to go.
The situation with Mason vs. Neuvirth. I'm hoping Neuvirth is getting show cases for a first round pick and Mason is being rested after a long stretch that included a team game winning streak. I want to bring back Mason with a modest raise. |

Yes would be nice. They say to Mason " hey we are going with Neuvirth to show he can play consistently, so that we can up his trade value. Then you will ride out the rest of the season starting.' |

I'd bring Mason back for 2 years at 3 million. Doesn't appear to be in the plans though. |

Any chance they are trying to showcase Neuvy to get a team interested in him?
Neither goalie deserves to be the starter this season . |

I don't think the timing lines up. Last 2 weeks were critical to their season. I don't think they would be risking them to up Neuvirth's trade value up a couple draft rounds. |
