They would currently pick 11th...Buffalo hasnt been bad lately, Carolina has 4 games in hand, and the Devils should beat us head to head, so that is about all we can expect realistically. Flyers would have to be Avalanche bad to think about moving up more

I'd rather take Halak off the Isles hands in a trade for Matt Barzal

1. Ryan Miller Vancouver Canucks
2. Ben Bishop Tampa Bay Lightning
3. Jonathan Bernier Anaheim Ducks
4. Steve Mason Philadelphia Flyers
5. Ondrej Pavelec
6. Brian Elliott Calgary Flames
7. Chad Johnson Calgary Flames
8. Michal Neuvirth Philadelphia Flyers
9. Darcy Kuemper Minnesota Wild
10. Reto Berra Florida Panthers
11. Anders Nilsson Buffalo Sabres
12. Curtis McElhinney Toronto Maple Leafs

Not a hell of a lot on the market. He might be one of the better options if he can be had for cheap.

- Baxter27

Yeah, honestly. I take Miller for two years cheap and ease Stolarz into a starting role. Miller is a good vet to learn from. Better than any of those other options.

A lengthy injury to one of G, Jake, Simmonds, or Provy could make this happen

Haha I love this....what exactly makes Miller a good vet to learn from?

I will be disappointed if at least 3 Flyers are not traded in the next 6 days.

Well, from twitter, it looks like Jake injured himself and left the ice with McCrossin at practice today.

He's got more experience than pretty much anyone on that list for one. But fine, take whoever you want. It's rebuild time. Doesn't really matter all that much. I'd just rather have a seasoned veteran for Stolarz to be around. Miller was a legit starter for a long time in this league. Can't really say that about many of those other guys.

If Voracek is injured they can put Schenn and Simmonds with Giroux and have three 4th lines.

@dragonoffrost

who a few days back said Gilbert was a baseline for a Schultz deal. I do wonder if he would be willing to get demoted to help with the cap hit, but I also think he probably would just rather be a scratch in the NHL. Plus he seems to be close with a lot of the other Flyers

It would be a nice move to do if he were willing. A team could bury most of his cap hit and use him as insurance if necessary.

- YuenglingJagr

You've hit my full thought process. If he would go along with it he could be a nice depth piece after rosters expand for a playoff team.

I think he will go for a low value conditional pick with 1/2 his salary retained.
