He should leave the ahl guys alone unless he gets blown away. Just move salary that is weighing down the payroll. - JoeRussomanno
I'd keep four current roster players and shed no tears moving any of the rest.
I was thinking yesterday how when I was a season ticket holder I couldn't wait for the meet the team events and the Carnival. Who, over the age of 15, would want to meet this team? |

Neuvirth for the outdoor game.
Flyers moving on without Mason? - Streit2ThePoint
sure seems like it. as soon as Mason gave up 4 or 6 goals regardless of the strength of his game it seems like Hakstol would go to Neuvirth (when healthy of course). hasn't happened in reverse of late |

Not that Mason has been great but I'd say he's been the better goalie this season. It's a pretty ridiculous decision considering Neuvirth was subpar for 3 out of his last 4 starts. |

We all know (or should've known) that after this year one or both will be gone. |

Sign Miller for two and bring up Stolarz.
Whole new team next season.

So given the pretty clear indication they're moving on from Mason, who could be his buyers?
St Louis
Calgary
Winnipeg
Dallas maybe as a trial run.

Yeah I definitely knew at least one would be gone. I thought they would hang on to Mason, but it seems like Hakstol/Hextall are favoring Neuvirth as of late. Both have been below average from what they are capable of bringing to the table. |

57 is better than 77 but rain will be a mess. wasn't there an outdoor game in a downpour? |

Yep, but on a better team some of that doesn't happen. I think on a good (above average) team, they're each capable of going deep in the playoffs. |

An AHL game this year, I think. I saw some clips. It was a mess. I was surprised they even played. |

Agreed. Both goaltenders have had great moments and horrific moments this season. Neither has leaps and bounds outplayed the other. In fact I'm concerned the Flyers will choose Neuvirth who has never held on to a starting job or stayed consistently healthy over Mason who has brought his career back from the dead here. |

Hakstol makes all around odd decisions. Mason should have saw at least one game during the west coast games. |

Not a hell of a lot on the market. He might be one of the better options if he can be had for cheap.

If someone is feels ambitious they should look at how many games are left and use that to calculate how many points they might get over those last games based on past game. (ie 20 games left use how many points they've gotten over last 20 games) Then do that for the other teams below us. See where we might pick the draft. |

9th
I completely made it up, but it accomplishes the same thing
edit: I think realistically they come in around 11 or 12...9th is probably best case scenario. Everyone knows they are going to go on a run and finish a point shy of the playoffs though |

Was just curious how far they would keep falling if they keep playing like they are currently and if every other team keeps playing like they. Would be nice to finish in the top 10.
I would like to see them go on a run just so we would have something fun to watch. However it would most likely just be performing above our mean and would hurt the team in the long run in terms on draft ranking. |

They would currently pick 11th...Buffalo hasnt been bad lately, Carolina has 4 games in hand, and the Devils should beat us head to head, so that is about all we can expect realistically. Flyers would have to be Avalanche bad to think about moving up more |
