We will get Shatty and won't lose a roster player in the top 9 and you will like it. Then I will shove it down your throat every chance I get.

According to Zipay of newsday asking price for Shattenkirk is young nhl defenseman, top prospect and 1st rnd pick. If thats case no way I want to give up someone like Skjei.
- dman78

Let's give them McIlrath....oh wait

Probably in my top ten. Love when Vince Vaughn is talking to the priest.

I'm sure they can find another NYPD traffic barricade laying around somewhere on 7th ave that they could trade.

Kind of a random thought and not sure if it makes sense, but rather pay for a 29 year old that were going to have to sign until he's 35, what about going for a guy like Justin Faulk. Maybe 2 1sts Gropp and Graves?
- nyrangers9479

if you are thinking of that i would much rather go after Tyson Barrie. PERFECT fit. young, decent contract. would fill so many holes...

who is going to pay that though?? i think it really comes down to if STL wants to trade him or not. if its 11AM on TD day and they have no deal in place, does his price drop? IDK. I cant see a team paying that price knowing that he wants to go to FA.

Not sure how they're expected to pan out, but wouldn't St. Louis be interested in our goalie prospects? Halverson or the Russian who I can't even begin to remember how to spell or pronounce haha. Blues have annually struggled in net

thats a great point. though do the rangers want to trade one of them is the bigger question. we may need cheap young goaltending soon if Henrik does start to slow down.

Didn't Shestyorkin re-up for like 3 years in the KHL? Don't think he'd have much value to St. Louis, despite being a really good prospect.

If it means getting Shatty without giving up current guys like Buch, I think it's a no brainer. The Rangers aren't in a position to sit on their hands much in the next couple years, got to get ballsy and bold making runs at cups still

Throw something like this together:

#1
Lindberg or Fast
Graves or Gropp or one of the goalies

If that ain't enough sobeit, I do agree you can't go nuts here with a rental

I was kinda surprised to see SKA go with Koskinen over him in the playoffs.

Another showdown between him and Sorokin in the finals would be cool. I can't wait til Sorokin gets here, by the way. Not that any of you give a crap.

I know its a long shot, but would be pretty cool if they became the starters. Add to the rivalry
