The only reason to scratch Buchnevich is to protect his health cause he's going elsewhere as part of package, whether it be for Shattenkirk or not. AV getting a lot of heat for scratching him, but I think this Gorton telling AV he needs to be careful with how he uses Buchnevich.

He's still young enough to turn it around, but its weird with these guys who have "phenom" attached to them. They can make a splash & get everyone excited & many times, disappear, never to be heard from again, or just not make it at all (Remember that Grachev guy who we thought was the next big thing for years).

I'll say this too...

I don't want the Rangers to trade Buchnevich. But, BUT, if they did, to me it would signal that the organization projects him to not pan out as highly as hoped, or maybe they project him to be an injury problem constantly.

If they still project him as a borderline franchise type forward, no way they'd deal him.

I don't want him to be traded either. But it's odd that he get's a few to play then sits for a game or two. I just think that the Blues and Rangers are talking. The Names being thrown around are Shattenkirk and Buchnevich.
