Other than dumping JML and Beleskey I'd rather they didn't make any moves. Not many sellers, this deadline is going to be a snoozer. Ride this out and reevaluate this summer.

This. I really just can't with WEEI. Allow me to personally and slowly murder Jerry Callahan and Kirk Minehan and then maybe....maybe.
- glove_was_stuck

Completely 2nd this. Callahan is insufferable. Minihane is a Richard, but when Callahan is not there, he's not that bad. Last week the morning show was actually pretty good. But now Callahan is back, and I just can't listen to that full on right wing commie wiener.

Yeah I'm with you on moving JML, but Beleskey I'm 50/50 on. I don't hate him as a player, he puts in the effort, but he's not much more than a bottom 6 energy guy, and you can get those a dime a dozen compared to what they're paying him. I liked his game, but the way the team has transitioned, I think he's unfortunately the odd man out.

Can we add Hayes to this list too? I'd move him for any draft pick... anything.

Yeah that is true, good point... but who would you target as a top 4 d? I don't think the Shattenkirk thing is happening... and I don't really know who else is out there that wouldn't be of the same ilk as JML.

I dont know. I am with the other guys here that I would rather see nothing done than a blockbuster trade. However if the price was right, maybe Gudbranson or Edler (with salary retained) from Vancouver. Could look at guys like Garrison, Kulikov or another guy. Would really depend on the deal.

Sweeney should be offering to blow any GM who will take Hayes for futures.

Callahan is a crusty old racist, piece of homophpobic, Atilla the Hun poop. (frank) him. Hope he dies. Minehan is all of the above in training.

I would love to move Hayes but I doubt there are any takers. I will say playing for Cassidy he's been better. I think having Backes here made Belesky redundant. Nice player for the top 9 but you could move him and plug in a let cap costly option. Really nothing against him.

JML was a bad move to being with. Just walk away and stop taking time from Collin Miller or literally anyone else.

EEI is full of pompus A-holes all day long. they can spend 4 hours talking golf, but even Dale Arnold doesnt talk hockey over there. I never listen to them, except for the occasional western mass road trip where I can either listen to country, or them on the the double nickle, and often Ill go with the country...

once the college season is done, arent they gonna bring up McAvoy and (good ol' whats his name) anyway? no moves is good moves, unless its garbage dump time.

Rock 102.1 man... I'm with Glove... I'd rather punch myself in the face repeatedly than listen to country anything. Dale doesn't talk hockey because he doesn't have anyone to talk hockey with. Listening to any of those other guys talk hockey is brutal because it's glaringly obvious that none of them have the least bit of interest in hockey besides the crap they read in the papers.

He's supposed to be a Patrice Bergeron-Cleary clone right? Maybe he'll follow in his footsteps and drop the second name.

I dont think they will sign McAvoy this year. Maybe after next year.

Garbage dump sounds nice. This is all I can think of when Jimmy Hayes and Chaz Michael Michaels play hockey.

Despite all the swaps our rivals are doing, I don't think any of the teams are significantly more dangerous than before.

Boyle is a solid depth pickup for the leafs. Same for burrows and the send. Both give their respective teams an agitator just in case the bruins face them in the playoffs. The have and jordie benn, I think it was to help offset some pk time for their top D men. I find the kings and wild pickups more interesting. Going to be a fun next couple days.

I understand, just don't think it should make us sweat at all. Hopefully Sweeney isn't all rattled and thinks he has to keep up

Sweat on trades? No. If I'm Sweeney I'm looking for a top 4 D man on the right kind of deal and maybe some cheap depth scoring.

Now sweating to make the playoffs, might be a little bit there. I'm sure he has had a few talks with the Jacobs family regarding their feelings on missing post season play. Given how the coaching change has impacted the team, I think Sweeney can play it safe and wait for the right deal (if any) at the deadline. I expect if the bruins miss, one way or another one of Sweeney or Neely, possibly both will be out of a job
