Really like stollie, and I'd be all for easing him in, but you can't go with that combo. I think you sign an experienced #1 (lets just say Mase) and see how it plays out. If he takes the net, then there you have it.

I'll tell you what I DO NOT honk is for us to throw big money at Bishop for example. I've read the rumours, but that is asking for trouble IMO.

Look, humans are imperfect and the occasional mistake will be made. But egregious mistakes are very rare. Video review to try to determine if a player was a millimeter offside or to review a play to try to subjectively determine if there was some kind of interference is a silly waste of time.

And now they are looking to change the off sides rule to allow for your skate to be off the ice. So how much review should be needed for that now.

FOr as fast as the game is they really don't make a lot of bad calls

This team is still two years out and with the expectation that this draft year is supposed to be down, I think you need more picks than the 10 in an effort to hit some gold...

With that in mind here is what I would expect Hexy to look at...

Streit trade for prospect or picks and we retain some salary
MDZ for pick
AMac if there is interest, again, he has not been horrible, but at 5M a year he is really only a 5/6 making 2-4 money..

look at bringing up all or a combination of Haag, morin and Sanheim for a run at the playoff spot...and the real goal is build chemistry before the offseason.

At goalie I would look to trade mason or Neuvy...you know they are not keeping both if either and if Hak is going with Neuvy, Mase seems like the odd guy out..Stolarz seems ready for a shot, and it looks like there will be plenty off goalies in the market during the offseason if you need a veteran around...

Forwards are tough...some of the young guys are hurt so it makes it tough to bring some of the farm guys up...so right now it is a waiting game...I don't think you move G as some have suggested, I think he is hurt and this team just doesn't roll 4 lines so he is frustrated...That Wilson line in the 1st period showed how far our 3rd and 4th lines are as the they created chances and played keep away from our second line...that is what hurts...the 3rd and 4th line...

oh, and I would make Manning work all offseason on his outlets...he is a turnover machine and if he can sort that out he would be a trusted 5/6 guy around the other young D men...

this team is just not there, they are a bubble team for the next two years until the young guys that Hexy and company have drafted mature...trust the process...

I get that Hextall should do whatever's best for the Flyers and agree with that.

My comment more has to do with how quickly the fans of turned on him. It's not even about trading him for some people anymore. It's about exiling him at the risk of him being some massive albatross.
