Might be true for one season or 2, but beyond that its the other way around. In that time frame the Canucks are still bottom feeders but instead will have another aging roster spot to fill

Granlund has come far this season. Showing his offensive side and flexibility to play wing. He hasn't hit his prime years so much more growth there. Not only that but young 20 goal scorers are valued in today's NHL.

We love Hansen and what he brings. But not likely to keep both, especially if Sbisa is moved, unless willing to give up something extra to Vegas. An exposed Granlund will be more attractive to Vegas over Sbisa and with Hansen it's a toss up.

I personally would not extend Hansen beyond next year unless he signs 1.5mil or less. Is he worth it? Yes, but we need to keep getting younger. therefor granlund + return for Hansen > Hansen BIG TIME

Totally agree, but I dont see him signing for $1.5 either. He will have a decent body of work behind him to get one more good contract, like Chimera, Vermette or Brad Richardson type money

I doubt it. If this season is any indication they will play out their contracts next season and then will be graciously thanked for their contributions on & off the ice.

as per my earlier post, I hope if we do trade Hansen, I hope we get a very good return. At 2.5 mil, Hansen is very fast, great penalty killer, can play on any line and does not complain. Hard to replace that, especially at that cost.

I still think he's the best trade chip we got and would like to move on, but it's nothing to cry about if he doesn't move this year. Still lots of value in him.
