Brock Boeser turns 20 on February 25, 2017. He currently is not signed to a contract and would be age 20 as of September 15, 2017, think that means no sliding ELC.

It reads as if Boeser plays this season he has a 3yr ELC for 2016-2018.
If he is paid then the 2016 season is year 1 & slides.
Year 1 season started on Sept 15th in 2016 accordingly.
He can play max 9 NHL games & the AHL does not count.
If he signs after the season ends its a 3yr ELC starting 2017-2019.

Yes helped to some degree but not many examples of over a decade.
None could be called impact or star players. Good roles players mostly yes.

I am going to get torched on this, but I have huge reservations about trading Hansen. At 2.5 he is a steal, he is fast, a great penalty killer, can play on any line and never complains. We better get a significant return otherwise what is the point? I am afraid that this trade may be made done to just appease a panicky fan base. Yes, now is the time to sell and we should probably move Burrows and Miller, if there are any takers. Getting a replacement for Hansen next year, at that cheap of cost will not be easy.

so we keep him to play in the 20 games this season and then watch him go play in LV next year and get nothing for him.. that does not make sense unless we were a cup contender and last time i checked we were one of the worst 5 franchises in the league

Im pretty sure you cant find a single person who wants to loose hansen.. the problem is someone needs to go, our team is terrible, resigning hansen wont happen because he will want huge money so get something for him before he plays 20 useless games this year or we keep him and he plays an additional 80 useless games and walks as a ufa

The tanking issue only can happen when no NMC's r on the books.
