That would be the ideal pickup. However, noting the remarks of other posters, I would not want to give up Nurse for him. Davidson + would be the ideal starting point, especially considering Colorado's status.

I still like the idea of pursuing Shattenkirk as a rental. Conditionals aside, he could be a driving force for us throughout the end of the season and possibly through the playoffs via PP and offensively.

There's big changes coming in Colorado. I wouldn't count anything out. Well him getting traded that is, I doubt we get him. There will be right shot D available though. If I'm Winnipeg I move one of Trouba, Byfuglien, or Myers for a leftie. I think Mike Green would be a realistic target.
