Osti d'imbécile. C'était quand même jouissif de le voir être contredit non-stop par Ciccone et Dubé. - Not_Yan

Don't think there's a perfect solution for them. Just trying to think of the less bad one. |

They could but it would have to be strictly for picks - obie
No it wouldn't.
They have 46 current contracts, 33 for next year.
They could acquire depth players that Vegas wouldn't pick, or young players/prospects that are exempt from the draft. |

Easy... trade one of their good young D after the season, before the draft for a young player and or picks that don't need protection. |

Sure, but they're minimal issues compared to the alternative.
It's just asset management and damage control. |

It's a better solution than losing him for nothing, or trading for a player that you have to expose to the draft and would likely be picked... |

Either a D or a forward, but yeah.
Only issue is you aren't going to get full value, because other teams will know what you're doing, and a lot of teams won't be able to take on those kinds of contracts.
So you're going to have to bite the bullet and take what you can get, or just lose a guy for nothing. |

Exactly and that's why Beaulieu, a 2nd and a 3rd is a pretty good return considering they will get robbed somewhere down the line |

I think the majority of teams who didn't royally (frank) themselves with NTC's and NMC's should be fine there. |
