this is valid but it's also stupid to give up on the idea of him being a #1. he's not the first guy to struggle coming off a knee injury.

I never said to give him up or give up on him.

Trading him for a legit #1 that could help the team is what I said.

It takes good players to get good players.

agree and that's why i think at $5.5 million/per his deal is pretty standard. you're not getting quality top 4 defencemen on the open market for $4 million.
