Lindholm has been much much better of late, but I dunno if he'll ever be a 50+ point guy.

Sure would be... The kid scored 30 last year as a C, isn't that what they have been looking for since Damphousse and Muller left town?
- obie

Kid asn't played like a 1st line center since last season.

Habs need a legit 1st line center now.

Things were going great before his injury, he was among the NHL's best scorers.

I thought I was the only one listening to those Israeli nutbags.

Was looking for something that I can listen while working and still be focused. Some guy at work told me about them about a year ago, I really love what they do.

So a 2nd got you a 25 years old Petry 2 years ago, and now it gets you a 37 years old Hainsey.

I guess Beaulieu could be more valuable than we think.

he was top 10 in scoring when he went down with his injury in December... he definitely looked legit earlier this year. yeah the injury seems to have destroyed his season, which is ridiculous, but he's shown he can do it.

Edmonton also received a 5th in the Petry deal that became a 4th when the Habs advanced to the 2nd round that year

did you guys hear about this?
---------------
According to a report from Max Truman of DLC on February 9th following a game against the Philadelphia Flyers, Therrien unleashed a verbal tirade on Habs forward Andrew Shaw, one that did not sit well with players. That story was corroborated by Martin Leclerc of Radio-Canada this morning when he stated that Therrien had gone far beyond just calling out Shaw and that it degenerated into personal verbal attacks against the veteran forward,

It's at that point that one of the locker room leaders stood up and told Therrien that enough was enough, and while this is only speculation, Truman believes the unidentified player who spoke out was none other than Carey Price. Price was rumored to have clashed with Therrien although at the time there was no report that it could be related to Shaw, and according to that rumor Therrien had told Price to content himself with stopping pucks, Truman now believes that both incidents took place on the same night.

We now know that less than a week later locker room leaders met with general manager Marc Bergevin and Therrien was fired shortly after. Needless to say this may drastically impact his ability to find another job in the NHL

This.

There's not a guy over 26 with a similar cap hit anyone would take over him.

- trash

I would take Duncan Keith at 5.38 over him.....and not cuz I am a Hawk fan. Cuz Keith is eons better (even if older)...

true but then you're comparing contracts signed in different eras. had Keith signed post lockout his cap hit would be way higher.

Oh. Possibly quite true. But, I was just answering the statement as posted

If you get into when contract was signed, age of player, what he had for breakfast, who he's sleeping with....etc. Well, ya....a lot of things change!

So It would have been a 2nd round pick and Danny Kristo for Petry? Still better than 36 year old Ron Hainsey.
