Would have went with a 2nd and DP for Shat w/ no money retained - nh4442
In no way would that have been enough. Honestly, I don't see how they trade him now that they're a playoff team. |

That would mean he is a top pairing Dman... 37th in points among Dmen.. right next to Klefbom, Giodano, Justin Faulk... a few points under guys like Niskanen, Gardiner, Josi, Pietrangelo... oh and he's only got 7 points on the PP... he's got 1 less 5v5 point than Letang.. Letang has 14 PP points.. does that make him not a top pairing guy, but a PP specialist? Come on man, that's a really bad argument. - j.boyd919
For a guy whose best attribute is putting up points then being 37th in points doesn't lead me to believe he's a top pairing dman. Points are not the only way to measure a dman. I doubt he's doing the hard pk minutes. Or facing the toughest competition.
I'd call a top pairing dman as a guy who matches up exclusively against the other teams 1st/2nd lines. Not a guy whose a power play specialist. |

Nah man Green sucks. These dudes weren't even interested at 25% retained. They don't want to look at numbers with context. |

Why are his shot impacts at a top pair rate if all he is good for is putting up points? PK success is system based so judging a D man by his hard PK minutes is not wise. |

Just waste of space. Severe underprice and how the (frank) are we going to take on his salary without a lot of it retained. (maybe maata ltir till playoffs about the only way.) |

Speaking of LTIR... How many games does OM have to miss before he can be placed on LTIR? Daley is obviously headed there too, but not before the TDL. |

Please see post about how that was the "rumored" trade that was on Twitter weeks ago... maybe I should have preempted it with " I would have done rumorbreak a deal of......"

I believe he can go on LTIR anytime. He must stay on LTIR for 10 games or 24 days I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong |

LOL so Green has nearly identical TOI.QoC as Letang and Shattenkirk while starting a higher percentage of his shifts in the D zone. Yeah Green sucks |

Just found it. 10 regular season games or 24 calender days. Maatta won't be on LTIR before the TDL. F*ck. So that's why we asked them to retain salary. |

Yeah gotta hold onto all those low value picks and hope they become NHL regulars in 5 years. |

He can go on LTIR before the deadline but there is more to getting cap relief than simply putting a guy on LTIR. |
