I just saw a picture on facebook of a 10 year old kid fighting cancer, who is telling his Mom how scared he is, and that he doesn't think he'll make it to 11. I can't handle stuff like that. So I'm just going to enjoy the hell out of the 3rd period regardless of the results. Sorry for the downer, but it hit me hard.

Shot on goal are totally misleading when it come to the Flyers, they generally outshoot the opposition but not a lot of quality shots and no traffic in front and also a bunch of hard working forwards with no finishing skills less Simmonds and Schenn

at least one post, a few point blank chances we couldnt bury, could easily be tied

I have a bad feeling that Hextall's process will be much longer than anyone thinks. It is great for Ron Hextall ensuring he has a job for years to come but bad for Flyers fans. I think I could tell everyone to be patient, do NOTHING, and collect a massive salary too.
- redcoat75

You know, I've been a Flyers fan for a long time, as many of you have, building a team takes time and Hextall needs that time to see this through. It takes a good seven to eight years to build and he was left a bit of a pooppile from Holmgren. This is gonna take some time.

They're so impatient with the PP units. Don't bother pretend switching them in the first place, and practicing with them, if you're just going to switch back the second you really need a goal.

Not sure I agree with that last statement....but to me you don't move Ghost, unless it lands a guy like Duschene.
- landros 2

My point exactly, Duchene would give our top six some punch, right now they suck! I would trade him for Landeskog as well, a tough power forward who needs a change. His stats are not really what he could become.

Yeah. I think this one seals it. The most disappointing thing to me is that the team isn't really interesting to watch.

Bad calls all around not just by refs but the league.

Waving off the Voracek goals because Weise touched Holby's back three to five seconds before the puck went into the net. This reminds me of the MacDonald goal waved off on Bob in the first minute in Columbus. What kind of league is this now? It's like the league is trying to protect their hardware winning goaltenders.

The Sean Couturier call is no different than a follow through of a shot that accidentally hits an opposing player in the head. It's two players racing to the puck with incidental contact which happens all the time in every game. Needless to say, this bad call leads to a goal.

This game was about as painful a game as I can remember. Provorov cheering when he thought he scored. Even listening to Pierre McGuire and Eddie O talk about Joel Otto, while mentioning he played for the Flames and forgetting he played for the Flyers too.

The self inflicted wounds is watching how much Mac gives up against opposing top lines. Example, Nick Backstrom was able to skate all away around the back of our net and Mac moved out of the way and allowed Backstrom to wrap around a backhand point blank of Neuvirth.

The second PP unit features Nick Cousins as a net front presence where Holby is able to simply look over the very tiny kid. It doesn't if Weise has 0 goals on the season. Weise is big and his priority would be to take the eyes away from Brayden Holby. We didn't even adjust to this in our second Power Play.

On an interesting note. Boy do Nick Cousins and Radko Gudas know how to piss players off. Brayden Schenn, I don't know what else you guys want out of this kid. Outside of Simmonds, he's one of two players consistently putting the puck into the net. Voracek might lead the Flyers in points but in my opinion he's having the same issues as Giroux. Giroux is just doing a better job of struggling.

I thought they had some urgency in their game tonight. Didn't turn out well. No bounces went their way. I will be happy if they play like this the rest of the season.

I found the third period to be extremely boring except for the few penalties and scuffles.

I don't get to watch them every game but I thought Giroux seemed more engaged than he's been in a while and it wasn't just him. 3rd goal was a bad bounce and Neuvirth did his job on the 4th goal but he didn't have a great game. I don't get what they're doing with the goalies.

One reason we can not score is because we have four legit top six players at the moment, one reason nobody scores. Gost is attractive but really he is a liability on defence and Provorov will easily take over his spot without missing a beat.
Now go watch the game , you promised, lol
- joegreif17

Gostisbehere has struggled for large.parts.of the season but it is not a reason to trade him. Provorov does not have the offensive skills that Gostisbehere has.

Your right Provorov is much better offensively than Ghost. Provy has 22 pts same as Ghost and 16 of Ghosts pts have come from powerplay so just 6 at even strength while Provy has 18 at even strength. You do the math , not to mention Ghost has had number 1 PP. all year. Provy can easily replace Ghosts offensive skills on the powerplay and next year Sanheim can come in and run the second unit, we need a top 6 winger for Giroux , trade Ghost now while he's playing decent we won't miss him at all.

Coururier has already scored at a top 6 level at 5 on 5 in his career. I agree that he has to be better like many on the team. Who would you suggest centers the 2nd line? Schenn?
