i mean i gotta give the flyers credit. they really came out with some jump and are hitting everything that moves. G also looks very good and is playing with a fire. just some shaky goaltending and reffing is honestly the difference. very frustrating. i still feel like this games gonna end up being like 5-4.

Well, yes. A number of good chances that period. Felt like they played well, aside from the goals of course. If anything, being down 2-0 after that period shows how much ground the flyers need to make up to be in the caps, pens, etc. conversation.

This is why we got Dale Weise after the last playoff series. The missing piece, with size and skating, to matchup against the Caps and turn the tide. I expect a big final 2 periods from him.

The score doesn't indicate it obviously but the Flyers generated some real good chances in that period, but didn't finish. Neuvirth hasn't played well.

Dave Haskol does not even know how to take advantage of home ice advantange. Has Manning out against Ovechkin. Haskol is plain useless! No chance of making the playoffs without a coaching change. Bring in Gallant for the balance of the year. Haskol does nothing for Giroux or is it Giroux does nothing for Haskol. One of them has to go. Giroux at 10 mill a year is a joke, he is invisible for the last month and NOW is the time to move him and his contract before it is too late. It is no fun watching this train wreck gong show and Haskol and Hextall are to blame!

Goaltending has been suspect at best almost all year, but the team in front of them does very little to help them at all. How is Neuvirth supposed to track a shot like that through Gudas?
