Is the top line not producing now? Are Lee and Bailey going to break 50 points this year with Bailiey potentially reaching 55-60?
Both answers are yes.
Why mess with that chemistry right now when the middle six need the most buffering as well as the defense? Nelson's had quite the cold streak. May want to address that. - bgainesDM
EVERY player that has played with JT has had career years. That doesnt mean the first line is fine. Bailey was drafted as a playmaking center, then was a bottom 6 defensive winger, and is now a first liner? IM not buyin it......its just what they have. But, dont mistake the fact that JT is making that line better for a legit first line. Furthermore, the PP could use another threat.....the addition of say Landeskog will give JT a top end winger and we saw how well that worked when Vanek had a cup of coffee here. |

Problem is, that's what the open market will dictate for him. - bgainesDM
This is why I would be very careful in what I give up for Duchene. |

Was Lee in the lineup when Vanek played with JT? Nope. The Bailey - JT - Lee experiment didn't begin until the 2nd half of the 2014-15 season, which btw is where JT put up his best numbers during that stretch. We thought that getting Ladd would be an instant plug in line 1 but turns out he plays better in the 3rd line.
2nd of all, JT didn't make Cory Conacher a star. |

And that alone should raise a lot of red flags for Snow. |

My point wasnt really to compare the two of them, it was more to say getting rid of Pulock isnt going to set the team back with Toews' play. - kindlyrick
Gotcha.
For me RP(m) and Toews are two different types of players imho. I don't think Sakic has his eye on Toews being that young d prospect he wants in a deal for Duchene, but I'm sure RP(m) is. Again just my opinion.
That not to say I don't like Toews because I have watched him when he was down the road at QU, he's smart, uses his body well and works his ass off. I'm surprised how well he's done at The Bridge. He's been a pleasant surprise. |

Anybody else want to throw up when they watch Nino finally turning into the player the isles thought they had when they drafted him before Snow got his feelings hurt and dumped him for a bottom 6 grinder. Just like Halak should be the backup over Berube right now. Instead because Snow was once again called out on his BS he gets his feeliing hurt and now we don't ice the best possible team because of it. I've come to the conclusion he will be back at least to start the season but man I can't wait until they get rid of this clown |

Team doesn't play as hard in front of Halak. Maybe it's the vibe he gives in the Isles lockerroom |

RP imo is the only player that shouldnt be included in conversations for MD. If we get MD than Barzal (who i think will be a very good nhler) becomes expendable |

Please with the excuses. Nobody was saying that when he lead them to a game 7 against the capitals two years ago by standing on his head the whole series. For the record he had every right to be pissed about the 3 goalie circus |

I'm with you Vukota, They got rid of 1/2 the problem when they sent Zippy packing. Now they need to finish the job and get rid of Garf Bag. |

The team, if you recall correctly, was slumping from late February towards the end of the season that year. He's making 4.5 mil a year, he has no right to complain about anything. |

People forget the poop show of goalies this team had before we finally had Halak.
I don't blame the guy for wanting to get the hell out of the 3 goalie circus that Garf created, and for the life of me can't understand watching Berube play |

Sure Halak shares some of the blame but Snow now has a history of acting like this when called out on his BS. Can't put your ego ahead of what's best for the franchise. I find it hard to believe anybody can actually sit here and say they are more comfortable with Berube as the backup then Halak at this stage of the game. Also Snow's BS cost us a top 5 pick who is now flourishing with another team. |

Halak wants to be "The Guy." He wasn't the guy when Greiss outperformed him last year. Again, his history shows this and why he's moved a lot. |

Halak should be sharing a lot of the blame. Berube and Greiss were in the 3-goalie situation too. Why didn't they moan and groan about it like Halak did? Because they're professionals. |
