Why does every loss constitute saying there was no effort? It's such an insult. The opponent never gets credit for anything around here. I feel like I watch a different game every night.

The problom with this team right now is the Power play. You can dissect individual players, effort, defense, offense, coaching, etc. It's simply put, the power play sucks right now

I stated earlier, their PP needs changes. I believe the second one they couldn't complete two passes in a row to get out of their won zone.
I also did not speak negatively about anyone's effort. What I said was if half the forwards played with the effort put forth by Fast and Lindberg they would have easily won the game. Did you not feel that those two guy's effort was not at another level and they completely stood out? They played with tenacity and urgency on every single shift.

And yes I think Montreal played a good game, I've never had a problem tipping my cap to a team that plays well against us and have done it on multiple occasions in the past or when a goalie steals a game. You cant win them all.

I agree, when you lose 6-2 or something yes, but 4-2 (eng) and 3-2 in shootout aren't those nights
- Slimtj100

I am reminded of JD's line when they aren't showing effort.. "Some one call the cops.."

He rules, don't get me wrong, but at $7.86M until 2026? That's a little scary.

If you thought we saw the same team last night as we did on Sunday than Idk what to tell you. Some players were good, Nash, Zucc, the 4th and Skjei. Obviouisly Lundqvist too. The rest of the Group were passengers last night.

I haven't been the biggest Vesey guy yet, but did you see THE EFFORT on Nash goal? He's along the wall fighting for puck it gets lose, he pokes to mcdonagh and boom Nash breakaway.

7-1-1 in the last nine and the pp has done next to nothing during that span, and we're still talking about this teams effort. Its hysterical

Seriously, sometimes perhaps the better more desperate team pulls it out. It happens over 82 games. I saw plenty of effort last night and generally most games recently. I don't know what to tell you

problem is, his cap re-capture if he retires before his contract is over kills Nashville, not Montreal

Two teams on the ice and sometimes the little things we don't notice as fans causes our team to look worse than they are actually playing. Effort and execution are two different things. Effort was there

Solution to pp fix is most likely not on this roster. And you cant help but feel if they acquire someone it will be more of the same like with Yandle. Time for Arneil to take some heat for yr after of mediocrity on pp.

Shattenkirk can shoot from the point and get it through, Yandle could not. At all.

Yep...if I were NSH, I'd be offer sheeting every single young, talented Flyers player I could find...just to (frank) PHI over for doing that to them with Weber.

Very scary...but I read somewhere that if he retires before the end of it, Nashville gets the penalty on their salary cap. So, fingers crossed...

He has looked slow as of late, I don't know if he's injured, but he has issues in his own zone and doesn't hit ...I think they need to give him a better partner, Emelin playing that much clearly isn't a good thing.

If you knew for a fact you could sign Shattenkirk in the summer, would you still trade for him now?

I would prospects are a question mark. If pp is biggest weaknesses on team and you can get him now you have to do it. Who knows what happens next yr look at Tampa.

Penguins could easily put Maatta on IR to make cap space for Shatty, and then because no cap in playoffs, they could have both of them

they also have ALL their draft picks

Imagine a game 7 against Pitt and Shattenkirk scores the gwg against us. Then we sign him in the summer.
