I liked the ride we were on when we had that 15 game stretch where we won 10 or so. And Andersen played legit then, but then the Leafs in the last 5-6 or so ain't, as in all of them...Is it on Andersen, is he the key that we need to settle it all down? I said it after McGoalie was in, why not ride him out until the L's start coming? Give Andersen the time off to stew and wanna prove everybody wrong?

SV% is a dumb stat unless you believe every shot is equal. The eye test is most important for goalies.

no goalscorer has had a career shooting % anywhere near that in modern times. stamkos is the best in that area and he's around 17%. 19% vs 17% is a huge difference too.

The Leafs D has been this bad all year. Only obvious difference is Andersen going from average to elite to bad to average lol.

Almost every single goalie in the NHL has a better sv% in games with 30+ shots than in games with less than 30 against, even excluding games they were pulled. I'll try to find the page where someone did all the work on this. It was a dramatic difference though. The idea that a bad defense = bad sv% is surprisingly untrue. Seems to be the opposite.
