I made a bet with wedgie once for an internet beer. Have to post a pic of a beer and state something about the other person knowing more about hockey or something or other.

Having a lot of family in Winnipeg and the West, it's pretty easy to understand this narrative a lot of them have. It has nothing to do with Matthews v Laine. It's that irrational dislike they have for all things Toronto because Toronto.... because Toronto exists, and that just really grinds their gears, everything becomes Toronto and "eastern" bias. Favoritism from the media, league, etc... on and on and on.

They've become some of the more insufferable fans in the league for me.

the olde capitol city hatred... yeah I know that Ottawa is the nations capitol... but everything else is anchored in Toronto.... I've always found this hilarious. Irrational hatred / envy because you don't live in a location. Makes perfect sense.....

I'm sure somehow Toronto was to blame for the Jets leaving the first time.... and will no doubt be the reason that one of the Florida teams relocates to Quebec.

Yep..I don't mind Gardiner...still don't think he's a top 2 material yet but he carried Carrick for awhile when he was struggling. We really need a #1 still before we can get too excited IMO.

Gardiner is what he is, lots of offensive talent, questionable decision making ability leading to massive brain cramps. Ferraro's little montage about Gardiner last night showed both the good and the bad. He will turn out to be a good second pairing D and power play quarterback. But the connection between his brain and his body would have to be patched if you ever expected more.

Gardner on the radio this afternoon when asked why game so chippy so much emotion with western team:

"Well it all started with a Naz I think. After kadri ran over that guy"
