Just watched the OT goal again. Why the (frank) did Byfuglien go to the offensive side of the puck and just let Matthews have an easy pass to Gards... He must be a frustrating player to watch night in and night out. He's a beast around the net and has offense but seems to make some pretty boneheaded plays/penalties.

Gards is like + 20 on a team of minuses/even

Beauty game...we were all over them. Nice to see after watching almost 40 shots against for a few games in a row.

Besides what anyone feels about the hit... watch Chiarot only.... WHY do so many young players in the NHL completely forget the (frank)ing fundamental rule you learn as soon as you start playing contact hockey... keep your (frank)ing head out of your knees.

As said before, hat off to Byfuglien for that play - he basically backed out of completely destroying Matthews who put himself in a vulnerable position on that play..

Kadri left the ice with his feet just before the hit, so I could see him getting a suspension for it.

Makes sense, he's on the ice for more goals scored than against. Unfortunately we remember the against because he causes them, but we don't pay attention enough to the ones he prevents because we don't notice on our tvs. Babs notices though.

The speculation is that he will miss Thursday, they will decide about Saturday.

But that's pure speculation.

Not really. Buff had no gas/momentum and thought Matthews was going to hold the puck. Then he went stick out to the offensive side of the puck, missed the pass and gave Matthews a little shove because he wasn't able to keep up with Matthews' motion.
