Meant to post this after attending Saturdays game and seeing the 3 on 1 fall apart just now. I love Marcus Kruger BUT he has zero offensive instinct. I understand and appreciate his game defensively and what he means but on a team like this year, contributions are needed throughout the lineup and he provides almost nothing.
It's long been talked about how he is one of the next to go given his contract but to me it becomes more apparent every game as offensive opportunities fall through the wayside. |

Through 15 minutes both teams look very good. Dead even. Very fast paced. Gotta love it. |

I wouldn't put any significance in Scotty Bowman attending Red Wings-Islanders game,

Yeah they can be cute with the puck vs a team like the Sabres, but against playoff teams they do a great job of taking away the next pass, gots to go to the net, shoot the puck in, etc etc, |

He has a decent shot too. I don't know if it's a confidence issue or what but he can't quite put it together offensively |

I wish the Hawks would do the same thing the Wild do, have someone in front of the goalie at ALL times, can't score from the boards boys. |

Absolutely. He got in between there on a shot vs pass he just needs to trust himself and make the play off his initial read |

Hawks with the 15-14 shot advantage after one. My guess both coaches aren't thrilled with the run and gun but it sure is entertaining. |

Waited to long, should have used the goalie to make the pass, Hawks think they can only pass it stick to stick, or the back wall |

Exciting hockey to watch. Minny still playing the Hawks old game of fast paced puck movement. Then they go back to that jam play 5 feet in front of the goalie over and over. |

If the idea of Palat is to bolster the Toews unit, you have gotten more of Panik type player than say Alex Kilorn.yes I totally understand he is also unaffordable but that is a much more skilled player than Palat.
So Palat scored 2o goals once (23) and he is strong in some areas, it just seems like the costs of these type.
They are gonna look for a guy with hands in all phases and there may be none that upgrade the skill of the kids.
Now a vet defender may be the insurance of against both
kempny and Forsling imploding... - wiz1901
A depth defenseman with some strength and good instincts would be a smart idea.
I'd be happy to just keep letting the kids play at forward. Kero being one of our pivots in the playoffs is a little worrisome, but the alternative is Rasmussen. They've gotta be feeling pretty good so far with their progress, and the rockford guys have undeniable chemistry.
I can see Stan dealing a little too much for a shiny new toy with impressive stats on the packaging, only for the move to take too long to click and throw the team chemistry out of wack.
