Buffalo sports...

How is that exciting nothing like being in the hunt every year and nothing to show for it..

they just need To tank it and get the QB

- GERBE!!!75PTS

They don't need to tank for a good QB in next year's draft. How many times do I got to explain this? Next year's class is loaded. Class of 83 all over again. You get a 1st rounder from a team that was in the playoffs that you don't think will be in next year. Playoff turnover in the NFL is ridiculous. Whatever, forget the playoff thing cause you can't be certain, but you trade back and get a first round pick next year. Now you have two for next year and get to see how good T Mobile is. It would be really awesome if Marcus Peters or Julio Jones slipped to where you traded back to. Eagles could make a nice trade partner. I predict Mike Williams will be key.

Right now no because they're not making a difference you give all your assets away and you're still poopy what's changed?

Maybe those moves set us back now

And I love ROR

- GERBE!!!75PTS

If u think that way,
Then you'll want us to tank every year until we are a contender
Doesn't work like that

Us getting good is going to take steps

Maybe easily isn't right. Niskanen and Carlson are both really good.

Pittsburgh absolutely.

I would like to get a guy like Leddy who's a great skater and can move the puck

- sbroads24

That's fine...
I just don't wanna give up Kane + unless it's for a guy who can anchor the top pair with Risto
Risto can skate, so I wanna see him with a more defensive minded partner
If we could get Leddy for our 2nd pair, I'd be all about it...
at the right price

Fasching + a 2nd gets us a good defenseman from a team in a tough spot

If not...
then I'd look at other options

So let me get this straight so you want to keep Taylor so we can miss out on the loaded QB draft
Correct? Because every time it's a loaded QB draft we always end up with the 4th best QB

and you want to draft a wide receiver before a QB is in place? When we need a Safety, OLine

Maybe in the second round.. we have no luck at drafting wide receivers in the first round

Btw : was not trying to come out sounding like an bumhole I apologize lol

From Tim Vogl's column this weekend:

Question: What do you want to do with 9?

Answer: Kane’s run of 21 goals in the last 36 games is astounding. It works out to an average of .58 goals per game.

Since the Sabres were founded in 1970, the only players to top that for a full season were Alexander Mogilny, Pat LaFontaine, Richard Martin and Danny Gare. They are all in the team’s Hall of Fame, and three have their numbers retired.

This type of scoring potential doesn’t come around often. Why trade it away?

It makes sense to wonder. Kane’s trade value may never be higher. But if the Sabres are ever going to win, they need more players with skill, not fewer.

The only way General Manager Tim Murray should trade Kane is if he believes the left winger won’t re-sign with Buffalo. Kane is set to be an unrestricted free agent after next season. The sides can sign an extension July 1. If Murray doesn’t think the 25-year-old is in Buffalo for the long haul, he needs to find someone who is.

Those numbers aren't Drew Stafford numbers and Stafford is not even the player Kane is. Not sure why Stafford is still mentioned on this message board in a positive spin.

I still want to know the last time a player led his team in goals and PIMs in the same season. I would think Cam Neely, but I don't know for sure.

I think some of you are not understanding he's playing outstanding don't get me wrong but is he really worth the contract that he's going to receive?

And have we not been tricked before by a player that had a career fluke year

Solid point. Kane is probably gonna resume his 17-20 goals per next season and most seasons following.

29 goals for OV 2.0

And Kane has what, 21? Yet we want to trade him. Perhaps the Jets should move Laine.

Yes, the draft is loaded, you don't need the top pick with at least 3 good ones. 2 firsts get you as high as you need to go.

First of all, I said Julio Jones OR Marcus Peters. Its like the opposition party is reporting my takes. I'm not reaching for a QB in round one cause I don't know if I have a QB in place, especially if Julio or Peters are still available.

One's been in the league for 8 years one 30 goal season , and never has hit past 60 points
and a free agent next year ( pay day)

Other a rookie that's more than likely going to hit 45-50 goals and already passed Kanes career high total in points..

Paranoia and love of tanking is going to age you. Yeah, many of us understand and have seen more seasons and players than you Kane is not Stafford and he won't get 7 mil but let TM worry about that. The Sabres do have a rich owner they can stick Moulson in Rochester if they have to and free up cap space if they absolutely have to. Don't you worry the cap can be worked out.

So we agree, Laine value is high and should be moved.

The irony of you talking about one guy like you want to have his kids, and the player who is on a similar scoring pace and plays for the sabres you want traded. Hall got Larsson, good luck moving Kane for something more or as valuable as Kane.

you say he's not going to get 7 million but why would he take less? Right now he's worth 6-6.5 correct? That means he could get 7 million on the open market you don't think he would try that out

I mean if he was the next Julio Jones he would probably be the second overall pick
And to be honest I don't think there ever be another Julio Jones just like there will never be another Gronkowski or a Tom Brady it just doesn't happen

He can try..but nobody will full market value for Kane. Besides...he has 18 months to slap a woman, get in a bar fight ...take a stupid selfie...think about it.
