There's been talk of the Leafs acquiring a 4th line centre. But don't the Leafs already have Laich rotting in the AHL for such a role? I mean Gauthier is the better choice, probably better than what's out there, but isn't Laich practically the same as anything we'd acquire in a trade?

I dont think laich is even a very good ahl guy at this point. Seems like a good dude tho

I always thought Frattin was a flash in the pan...and that he'd end up being an AHL'er.

With Leivo....I dont get that feeling just yet...could be a decent 3rd liner.

Frattin was a flash in the pan. For a guy that was very average size, I did like his skating and the fact that he'd like a truck once in a while. Decent shot too.

I'm a bit confused about Smith over Laich or Gauthier. Smith has been ungood all season and for a "faceoff specialist," last I looked he was like mid-to-high 40s percentage wise.

1) Babcock tends to have favorites that he lives and dies by.
2) They want Smith to be exposable to Vegas.

Hopefully Gauthier pushes smith out of the lineup this time around. He’s got to play like lievo. Force babcock to keep you in the lineup.

Laich was done as an nhl’er last year…

It's so generic though.

Besides, I think "Do it to it, Git'r'done" has a much better flow to it.... and it pretty much says the same thing
