Schenn for Tanev + Hansen?
- Nucker101

Schenne doesn't get you a sniff of Tanev's jockstrap

Why do you want Virtanen ? You already have a 2014 first round pick in the minors , isn't that enough?
- VANTEL

We have a bunch of prospects in the minors. That's how things work in the NHL.

Actually it would be how it works in the minors . If it is how things work in the NHL they would be playing in the NHL

replace Gudas with one of their D-man prospects and you have a deal. No way Colorado makes a trade without addressing their D long-term. Gudas is a short-term fix.... and he might not even be that

Duchene's -17 is a big upgrade for the roster too

Those 3 extra goals for he's on the ice for could be the difference between making and missing the playoffs.

I'd argue that it likely is the difference

That's his third team in three seasons...admirable. Get back to us when he bails on Philly then visits you twice a year when his new team poops on yours. Great qualities.

- Reubenkincade

Why not? Schenn is a proven 20 goal scorer, fights, throws hits, is in his prime. Tanev doesn't hit, doesn't stand up for teammates and provides little offense. Explain why it's such a bad trade?

Because:

Taylor Hall=Adam Larsson
Tanev>Larsson
Hall>>Schenn

Therefore Tanev=Schenn++. We werent going to take Drouin for Tanev straight up last year, so dont think we will entertain this nonsense anymore!!!

Larsson also has more hits and a better career high in points than Tanev so I still don't follow. Schenn scores less than Hall but his hits/fights close that gap a bit, no?

I'm open to a deal here, but let's be reasonable.

Who said I was jumping ship? I am just sick of the half hearted efforts they are and have been giving for the last couple seasons. The NHL is a grind. If you can't keep up to the grind? Just retire then. I 've been a hardcore fan for 25 years and have never quit on my boys. Even during the Messier fiasco. i am not quiting on them now. I am just taking a leave of absence.

Ive always had a good relationship with Nucker, didn't always agree with him but you nailed it on the head, he's an intelligent knowledgeable poster!

It bothers people here when I say that

Well I wasnt being serious (I wouldve done Tanev+ to acquire Drouin), but I really think that Hall has a significantly greater impact on a game than Schenn but that Larsson and Tanev are not too different. One more a little more older and defensively sound, the other more offensive contributions.

I really dont think there is a deal to be had between Vancouver and Philly. Schenn is slightly on the older side for a rebuilding/tooling team, and the cost to aquire him from Vancouver's side would be more than the team could afford to give up as it currently doesnt have the depth to replace anymore holes. Tanev should be traded to acquire multiple pieces to help the process, and Philly isnt giving up those pieces
