In all seriousness the Flyers are doomed w Giroux's contract
- CanuckDon

I was at the game last night and watched him a lot. He's (frank)ing awful. In warm up he could better connect on one timers. He holds his stick really upright and funny before he shoots. His jersey tucked in at the back makes him look like a tool. I've got him in two hockey pools, and he's just been useless this year. Lucky for him Schenn and Simmonds are carrying him.

Yeah, Toews is really displaying his greatness this year at +2.

I guess your best player is Sbisa.

Sbisa for Provorov?

He's been pretty unlucky. Flyers save percentage of .879 when he's on the ice

Their goaltending has just been awful this year

Thats about his value IMO
Top end prolly but its what i hold out for.

Of the 3, I would avoid Pouliot. For a guy who can't play over Cameron Gaunce and Chad Ruhwedel, somethings up. Either the organization has just given up on, or he is just not that good. With the injuries they have on defence, you think this would've been the perfect opportunity to give him a good run of games, but they choose Gaunce and Ruhwedel over him....

Yeah it's amazing how the best players like Toews and Crosby have great plus minus, while crappy players like Giroux have horrible plus minus.
- Scooby_Doo

Giroux is another older high paid player on a team who's window is closed.
He will end up in the Sedins boat at a higher price.

What if we added Megna? Top unit pp guy. Really good at setting up on the boards, and even dangerous on the rush.

I'm in 6th in the pool. Doing fine thank you. I'm the commish, and unlike you I haven't sabotaged the pool to make my team better.

I wouldnt be too worried about it, the culture will change pretty quickly if those two make the club. You'll have plenty of NCAA players on the roster, who will likely form the next clique given their preestablished relationships. Assuming they do, they would have Boeser, Gaudette, Stecher, Hutton, and future years Demko, possibly Lockwood, Garteig, and others they can (and should) add

I like Giroux but he needs a new fresh start somewhere.

replace Gudas with one of their D-man prospects and you have a deal. No way Colorado makes a trade without addressing their D long-term. Gudas is a short-term fix.... and he might not even be that

My take is he gets great mileage out of what he has to work with.
The players give all they got. He is good at teaching young players.
3yrs from now WD will be a much better NHL coach problem is surviving til then so therefore i see a new coach is here.

- Nighthawk

I'd agree with pretty much all of that. But this team hasn't even bottomed out yet. Scott bowman couldn't get this poop show in the playoffs ...so Willie will be the first casualty....then linden may resign and the new president fires JB. It's inevitable.

Yeah I thought about adding him, but realistically the kids will spend more time together. Having prior friendships, recent college experiences and being similar ages, I could see them all being fairly close. Bo will likely be their guide into the NHL, as he is young enough to relate but mature to hold them accountable. It would definitely be exciting to have a small nucleus of kids that can grow together

Why do you want Virtanen ? You already have a 2014 first round pick in the minors , isn't that enough?
