get brodie back to his offside.
his backhand passes are lasers and as a left side D he lost his nifty little spin back that he used to do to reset.
If it ain't broke....don't break it.
Brouwer. not even sure where they could send him. - numbear
I was reading an article that was saying that part of the they brought in Brouwer was to help with a veteran voice up front. It said he is a great professional and MGMT was hoping some of that would rub off on the young guys. Not the kind of vet that is going to show up to practice half tanked the Monday after Super Bowl. I think you keep him around. They have no other options for some size on the 2nd or 3rd line.
Agree 100% on Brodie. Let him play however and wherever he wants. I think once Wideman is out of the picture he will look like his old self. |

He will look good for 3 or 4 games like most players needing a fresh start. You clowns will talk him up like he's a legit top 4 option and then spend 20 games defending his poor skills as ' getting used to the system'.

Come on now. You know I never overstated the Oilers abilities. When they sucked I was the first to say it. Now that they are kinda not bad, I say that too. |

I watched Stone while he was with the Hitmen. H always struck me as an exceptional skater. He's 6'3" 210# and a right shot. Looking at the fast approaching deadline, I hoped the Flames would take a shot at getting him due to him being a Right hand D, and an impending UFA. This means they won't have to protect him for the expansion draft, even though they have to risk him going to free agency. That's why getting him here early enough to play some meaningful Hockey, and develop some new toes to the city, along with renewing old friendships and organizational relationships is important. He's having an off year, which bodes well when heading into negotiating his next contract. The down side is that he will have leverage when negotiating as a UFA, but at least his off year comes at a convenient time. He's only 26, and already an established NHLer who could very easily become TJ Brodie's partner in the second pairing for the next 5 years.
Bonus: Wideman ' days are numbered here. Thankfully, and mercifully for us, that is closer than ever now. Thank God. |

He might just be expansion bait so we don't lose someone else.
God help us if Stone is in our top 4 for the next five years. |

Kings seem to be a shell of their former dominance. Seems like the game sped up and left Sutter behind. Flames are inconsistent and without the emergence of the 3M line would be fighting with Arizona. That leaves You (frank)ers, the Ducks and the Sharks. All 3 of which could make some noise if they are hot going into playoffs. - DuranDuran
Oil are looking good, but another scoring winger would make me feel a lot better. It doesn't matter who plays with Jesus they're suddenly productive, but a 2nd line centered by Drycycle with some scoring punch would make me a lot happier. |

Ducks are on the way down. Their main core is getting too old. Ditto the Sharks. Still good teams but will be less of a threat in the coming years. |
