I've been saying this for a while now too
I like Bailey, Baptiste & Nylander more (bc they're much better skaters)
So for me, Fasching is the piece that I would part with that other teams would be interested in
He won't get us back a "Lindholm" type player,
But there are some teams who are in a tough spot we might be able to take advantage of
I'd trade him to the Ducks for Manson
We need a tough, stay at home guy, to pair with Risto &/or Bogosian (if he's still here)
Those guys can really skate the puck up the ice
I think having a partner that can anchor down the back end will give them more freedom to do so

Exactly 7....from 2010 draft to this season, and that includes McDavid. Keep in mind we are not there yet. We still need a top pair D as we only truly have Klefbom.

Now I dont think it will take your team 7 years from the Reinhart draft to get solid playoff footing but at least 5 full seasons. Should be 4 if TM didnt (frank) up and take Draisaitl, and would no doubt be three had you won the lottery and landed McDavid.

Now luck dictates so much its hard to fault or praise a GM for it, but youre now at a point with so few expendable assets that GMTM needs to be much much smarter if he wants to enter the trade market. He blew an awful lot of 'Murrency' on O-Rielly, Kane and Lehner to mixed results. He needs to bat 1000 going forward.

I usually go to a game a week and a few other notes..
-Sabres injuries have CRUSHED the amerks roster especially on D
-Nylander looks like an 18 year old in a grinding league. But has shown flashes in recent weeks.
-Ullmark has been good not great
-Karabacek has impressed me more than Cornell playing a bottom six role. still a LONG shot
-E-Rod is usually invisible down here but impresses with the sabres..
-Bailey has earned his stay in the nhl but the hole is tough for fasching to fill

I think we can probably write off Martin as a legit prospect
He can't even get on the ice in Rochester with all the injuries & has been in the ECHL almost the whole season...
and I think he's something like -14 down there

I think we can take advantage of a team like Anaheim, Manny, Nashville, etc
The expansion draft is gonna be tough on these teams
We won't get a "top pair" guy...
but I think we can probably grab a couple solid top4 guys

Only D prospects in system with any Nhl potential are guhle, borgen, fitz
Catenacci is done.. guy has the effort but production is nothing.
Baptiste is interesting idk maybe be a kunitz type player with the right center but seems like a stretch
