Thanks. My gut tells me that a 35 psi decrease would result in a less than 1 m/s change
If you do the math to prove me wrong/right, please show your work. - Scoob
Depends on what the change is from more than the change itself. |

My issue is the way Raffl has played this year he's a dime a dozen NHL player. Free agency will be full of guys like him. - dragonoffrost
He's still an elite level possession guy. I think we should take each guy's scoring stats with a grain of salt. Scoring is down for everyone. I think a good bit of that is on coaching. |

"Why were they able to score much more last season with the same coach? The coach has zero to do with their scoring woes."

Of course. From 35 psi down to 0 would be a big change. Probably close to a 100% reduction in m/s. lol |

truthfully I don't expect that at all. - nastyflyergirl
me either..
Typically the guys who struggle are the one who have some sort of dynamic skill set that they over rely on. Look at players like Ghost and Gaudreau..
Provy is incredibly balanced, and his best attribute is his hockey sense. I would be more surprised to see him truly struggle next year than I would to see him get a vote for Norris (not win or runner up). |

I think that is an easy scapegoat.
Raffl has spent majority of the season on the top line.
Raffl is a nice player. But he also isn't anything special. He had a good 21 goal season and now has come back to earth. He is also getting to the 30 age as I think he is 28 right now. The Flyers I believe have guys in the system that I think can fill his role moving forward(Abul-Kabel, Fazleev, Leier, and possibly Lindholm). |

How has that top line been scoring at ES this year, with or without him? |

Did you know that, keeping everything else constant, a 35 psi change in your steam inlet pressure ends up only changing your velocity by 1 m/s? - jmatchett383
truly fascinating....how are you keeping everything else constant? |

Not changing my tube (or pipe would work as well) diameter, my outlet pressure, or changing elevation. |

The sophomore slump is real - Scoob
Or is it just the result of real bad coaching? I heard Hak goes to Detroit in his free time and personally regress Dylan Larkin. |

I understand they all have struggled.
I also said he is a nice player.
But he also has the same amount of points as Vandevelde who has played only on the 4th line.
But right now when I have to determine who I want to protect in the expansion draft, I might look to protect future(Cousins and Laughton) over maybe Raffl who I am not even sure they would take. |

If not for Dave Hakstol, Teemu Selanne would have increase his 76-goal rookie output by 2/3 instead of reducing it by 2/3 in his second year. |

I think Raffl gets taken if he's exposed more than Laughton. I also think that Cousins has earned protection.
If you don't want Raffl to be part of your team next year, then trade him. |

There isn't a single player that they are likely exposing in the expansion draft that I'd give a damn if taken. Not a one.

They also aren't 28.
Cousins has showed some good skills and has progressed some. Laughton, once back up could show some growth. I don't think a kid is done developing at 22,23, 24 years old. |

There is a reason the flyers are bottom-5 in all the expected shooting percentage stats.
Raffl is probably the best healthy LW on this team right now. So underrated.
Wayne Simmonds is also 28... |

And I have said before I would be ok moving Simmonds in a deal. His value might never be higher.
But 28 Raffl is different then 28 year old Simmonds.

It certainly won't break them in anyway.
They'll end up with two spots for Read, Raffl, Cousins and Laughton unless they deal someone like Schenn or Simmonds. |
