Even if we're in a playoff spot I think we should trade Kulikov. I'd be okay keeping Franson though
- chilliard77

He had a few games where he played like dog poop....but he seems to be playing angry/physical again..and that is when he is playing his best hockey

Please trade him. He lacks urgency with the puck. I hate defenders who try to finesse out of the zone. Clear the damn puck and save your skill challenge plays for the neutral zone

Toronto has one shootout win and six losses.

Does Matthews struggle at it like Jack does?
It's so weird to me that Richel has such a hard time with them

But can it continue?
I know u have concerns...

I don't think his shooting percentage is too over the top
If he can keep taking smarter shots instead of just shooting every time it touches his stick, I'd say he's a 30 goal guy

The most impressive thing is that almost all his scoring is coming at even strength
How much PP time does the 2nd unit even get a game?
I feel like they maybe get about 30sec out of each PP,
But that's only when the 1st unit doesn't score

- jdfitz77

If he continues to play smarter, I think so too. I mean, Eichel is making it easy on his wingers lately.

Some of Kane's success is definitely due to Jack, but he was scoring even when he wasn't on his line a couple weeks ago.

Stafford had this streak over 62 games where he scored 31 goals.

He also shot a career high % that year.

come in here with realism like that

He was, but the only way I see him potting 30 yearly is with Jack

Well, Kane is so much better than Staff now it's not even close.

This is why I think that they should keep him. We have no evidence that anyone in the organization can do the same. He was a high draft pick for a reason.

We also have years of evidence that he won't stay healthy enough to do so.

For sure
I really like the idea of Sam moving to center full time next year
I'd think that would maximize his play making abilities & he could have a similar effect
Something like
Foligno-Reinhart-Bailey
could be interesting

I think Ennis can certainly skate well enough to play w Jack if he's still here

Jack has only assisted on 7 of his 21 goals. I agree though. Eichel makes everyone more likely to score.

Maybe he only needs 60 games to get 30 on this team.

He plays that style of game where he's just bound to miss some time
As long as he can play 65-70 games or so I'm ok with it
We'd obviously need him healthy for the playoffs though

Yeah, I actually think he's been a little smarter physically this year too though. He isn't just playing reckless.
