I know I am on crack here but I am bored as (frank) and not had my coffee yet.

What about a deal centered around Gio and Bennett going to Philly for Simmonds and one of their young stud Dmen.

Might have to add on one end or another but that Gives Philly a #1 D for at least next year as well as a guy to train their up and comers. Calgary gets the #1 RW and someone who can step into a 3 or 4 spot next year. The other 2nd pair man would have to be attained by free agency.

I know it would be stupid as hell to trade away our best D and our Captain, but it kinda sets us up for the future and is a bit of a reset for both teams.

Not that it's a stupid trade I personally think it's unrealistic, I don't see Simmonds being available. (I could be wrong) As far as trades are concerned to me look know further than the avalanche. Every time I read my updates there saying that Calgary has a scout In attendance.
