I completely agree - love Zaitsev... but I think he benefits from playing with Rielly, who everyone wants to wine about because he's only got 2-3 goals. Remember when Marincin looked okay at the end of last season... guess who he was playing with.

People underestimate Rielly a lot. And he does get all the tough assignments.

I've never understood this with any sport. I see it mostly at NFL games. Is it to show that you're going to a game between two teams you don't like and you want everyone to know you're not happy about it?

A prediction:. If Leafs lose tonight's game, they will slide out of the playoff race. It's been a good ride, but expected. Having upwards of 8 rookies in the lineup and a thin blue line, make it almost impossible to unseat more experienced teams. It's been a great major step up for the Leafs this year. Next year, this team will make it into the playoffs. Lou and Shanny will plug the holes going forward.

Listening to joe Bowen and Ralph play by play. Gave off wins becomes puck possession and leads to goal chances. When Frederick gauthier was here the leafs were 11-4 and face off wins in leafs zone by him was 57%

Rielly misses his man a lot and just isn't very smart defensively right now. I'm not even worried about his offense, he's in a defensive role pretty much. Not too often are guys his age expected to play minutes like this so it's not surprising that he isn't playing better but he hasn't been great this year. He still has #1 dman potential, I doubt many would argue that. He's got another 3 years at least before I'd start worrying.

I watching the Canucks Flames game last night... the Flames were brutalized by the officials in that one.... so its not just a Leaf phenomenon ...

It's beginning... lol whoever was trying to win the puck on the boards there had a Cane lassoing his damn arms with their stick.. call all the soft poop or none of it for FFS. With that said at least Polaks per game penalty isn't always trying to murder someone with a hit from behind anymore..
