Leafs are gonna live or die with this defence this year. Be interesting what the plan forward will be to improve defensively through draft and trade. They've well beyond exceeded my expectations this season. As far as questionable reffing calls, it does seem like there's a target on Kadri's back this year, but this is the best year of his career so far offensively. Maybe he gets more motivation from that who knows!

of course he doesn't have a clue... how many 5 year olds would be aware of this... and that in Ottawa... where the idea of hockey team that makes money or comes close to breaking even without a bailout from the government is just foreign. Man (frank) Ben Smith. He plays on the 4th line, 10-11 minutes a night, and still manages to KILL the team when he's out there. I honestly have no idea why Babcock gives him ice time.

That was gardiner last night. I feel like he was - 4 for sure, just miserable turnovers all night.

Which is to bad, cause as much as I've chomped gardiner over the years, I think he's been under the radar good all year. Borderline reliable. One of the reasons our blueline hasn't been near as bad as it should be.
