Good call...we need oil and gold. I'm ok with Oregon as well due to their craft beer and strip clubs

It would actually pretty dope.
Natural resources galore (trees, water, oil, gas, etc), tech (via silicon valley), hollywood. Got a critical mass population wise, got the sea, mountains, etc.

Cascadia or bust.

I just couldn't cheer for the Canucks to lose to the Flames last night. Too much pride at stake .

I don't really care if we squeak into the playoffs or finish in 23 rd.

I will be happy if we win a lottery pick of course but don't mind if we get a Tolvanen at 8 th or a Hague Popoguyev or Yamamoto at 15-20 th .

We will get a good player ( better than what we have now regardless of who we get. ) So I will sit back the rest of the year and cheer for the Canucks.

It seems like teams like the Flames Yotes Avs Leafs Jets Panthers Stars and others who have had a lot of top 10 picks are not doing much better than us.

Tough spot to be in, the 11 to 14 hole, they're shooting themselves in the foot and prolonging their mediocrity by doing this. They may get lucky and pull a kid out of the middle of the draft, however, their odds are better near the top.

Hopefully they trade Miller, Burrows and Hansen and the TDL.

- LeftCoaster

Generally speaking you are right. Have you checked the reality of this draft? Plus lately you have hindsight admiring the players picked in later spots more often then Canucks top 6 picks. So why cheer for losses so much now?

In this reality of three clear teams. Avs, AZ and Vegas ahead in draft slots. Then Jets, Stars and Wings competing for futility. That already gets you a 7 slot and possible drop in lotto line up. Going up in the standings is really the hard near impossible thing to do.

With the Game Markstrom had the other night and the month that Miller had I don't see them sending Miller anywhere. Makstrom moved in the summer.

Would u think signing Miller pre-expansion draft to entice LV to take Markstrom helps us out on losing a F or D? Idk if that would happen but the possible scenarios of if a Hansen or Sbisa get traded or not could make that a consideration.

Never did I say PO spot. I said at the beginning of the year were were going to be somewhere finishing 18th to 25th overall and that's exactly where we are headed. If Horvat and Sutter were out for the rest of the year we would be bottom 5 for sureā€¦still might but doubtful if we are healthier.

If my memory serves me correctly i predicted us at 15-20th.

If Juolevi comes to camp at around 195 and hasn't lost a step I think he is NHL ready.
- Retinalz

If he is Duncan Keith elusive & avoids contact its fine. 1st off is we need to move out D to open up competition or lose them to waivers.

I get that.

I see it as I get to see my team four more games . Shorter summer.

I see it as 4 games of exciting hockey and hey maybe even 5 or 6 .

Others see it as 4 and out.

Lefty sees it as drafting the number 5.

I see it as his clone is available at number 20

- VANTEL

yes you always get the better player at 20 than you do at 5. book it.
