I don't see Miller getting moved . I see Marky traded after the expansion draft
- VANTEL

If Miller wants to be resigned then he should be willing to provide a bigger list and help the team. Him being traded this year should have absolutely no bearing on him being resigned next year IMO.

I think marky is a good goalie but at this point he has not broken through ...there comes a point where he is what he is .. if I'm demko I'd rather have Miller to bounce questions off of and learn a few things ...plus you know your going to be the guy eventually
- Redmile247

I think Miller will be gone and a cheap back up with experience will be signed. Demko gets the starting job in Utica.

I think there is a certain difficult to follow poster who resembles the Donald a bit more....

I know it is an ongoing joke in here but Benning really does think he has a shot at the play offs.

I don't see a Miller trade happening.

Burrows to NYR for a third

Sbisa and Hansen to the Habs or Pens for a first and a second

I just told my buddy the exact same thing

Players with expiring contracts will be traded. No need to protect them and lose them for nothing for teams acquiring them.

Players like Sbisa and Hansen might be better to keep around until after the expansion draft. Teams will be more then happy to pay a little extra for a player they just lost in the expansion draft. May need to take back a bad contract or a lesser player that needs to be protect that we can leave unprotected. Just ask a bit more in the trade.

To Pen's I'd go Hutton and Hansen for Hagelin, Sprong, 1st.

- manvanfan

Interesting idea. How are you suggesting that Canucks protect them from Vegas so they are around?

You are aware Hutton is an exempt D from Vegas expansion. Hagelin Pens need for Cup run. They are short on forwards. Taking him back for Hansen leaves Canucks in same pickle for Vegas.

I don't think he will be traded.

Look who is getting all the starts. If Miller was being moved wouldn't Marky and the Canucks be preparing for( LAM) Life After Miller?

Miller as mentioned would be much better for Demko

Marky could get a second round pick just as well as Miller could

Goalies don't return 2nd round picks at the deadline. It's extremely rare. Miller was the exception and the Blues are still kicking themselves. Miller won't waive.

I am saying Markstrom gets traded after expansion draft. I think Canucks go with this tandem for the rest of the year.

We are going to lose someone. I'm sure no team is going to go into the draft thinking that they aren't going to lose anyone that they wouldn't want to try and keep.

I am aware that Hutton doesn't need to be protected. If you send 2 players that need to be protected without getting any in return (Sbisa and Hansen), I doubt Pitt is going to go for that. You get Hagelin who needs to be protected for Hansen. Hutton doesn't need protection, cheap contract, young player. Van then can let's Hagelin be unprotected and hopefully taken. Trade a Defencemen who needs to be protected in a different trade. For a late first round pick in a weaker draft and a top prospect who no one knows if he can even play in the NHL.

Hagelin 19 points in 52 games. 4 million for 2 more years.
Hansen 12 points in 25 games. 2.5 million for 1 more year.
Hansen is 2 years older.

Trade deadline deals aren't always equal. 1.5 less in salary for next season. A reasonable 2.8 for Hutton. Hansen's contract also expires earlier.

If Pitt makes final 4 the 1st will be 27-31. Not exactly a high pick.

- manvanfan

Hagelin was great in a cup win last year ...teams over value their own players typically but I doubt anyone in the pitt Management is using your comparison and thinking let's trade him for Hansen

I still think a first and a good prospect can land pitt a better option than Hutton

I see Canucks winning tonight. Fits their pattern. It won't make a difference for trades. No illusions on chances for JB and asset management for Vegas are concerns. Plus given how close to the bottom and where teams are at it really doesn't make a difference on draft position with so many games to go.
