If hawks can keep Keith toews and Kane and pens 87 71 81 and 59 we can keep him - Upstate_isles
The Hawks also have to keep, Crawford, Seabrook, Hossa, Anisimov, and Hammer.
Honestly, if we get Duchene, I'd put him in the 3rd line with Ladd and Chimera. He's not going anywhere near JT 5 on 5. |

Also, I'm not sold on Duchene as a 2nd part of a 1,2 punch. I'm just not. I would've loved if Stamkos or Kucherov didn't resign with Tampa. |

Also, they have to pay Letang and Fleury which further hinders their ability to get strong wingers for Sid.
But Tavares is definitely not Crosby or Malkin. - eichiefs9
You guys are nuts.. JT is a much batter player than Malkin. |

Duchene is much better than anyone not named John Tavares currently on our roster. He would be a tremendous pick up. |

we will disagree as to way better , I stated yesterday its crosby, ovie, mcdavid, and malkin then the rest. looking at it his ppg is 1.17 and jt is .88 so yea he is better. sometimes i wonder if he benefits from playing second units as the rest are against 87, however I remember him playing better without 87 in the lineup. Still think JT is top 10 though |

Bold - easily but besides the ppg avg, and sorry but i hate when ppl look up stats bc sometimes it can be misleading bc of roster, but Malkin is unbelievable and no comparison to JT, sorry and I love JT .....
JT is easily top 5 C instead of top 10
In ur list above are mostly C's, so take out Ovie an add JT & Sequin and that's probably the NHL's most productive C in game (i think) |

Hockey Insider Darren Dreger had a Tuesday morning radio hit on Montreal’s TSN 690, and was asked what he’s been hearing on the Eberle front.
“Not a lot, to be honest,” said Dreger. “I would say a month or so – maybe six weeks ago – there was some tire-kicking. I know that there were three teams that were calling Peter Chiarelli in Edmonton, but no one really willing to jump and take the bait. I believe that the Islanders were one of those teams. But obviously it didn’t go anywhere.

Love the guy or hate him, it looks like Snow is out there trying to improve the team. It's a step in the right direction. |

The problem with Garth is he waits too long to make moves. Just look at Cappy and the 3 goalies to name a few. |

Snow's trying but means nothing .... He'll make a panic move and either over-pay or bring in another no name at deadline like he's use too.... |

I think snow tries I think he's afraid to overpay for players, which may not be a bad thing. Vanek deal didn't work but he tried to sell a guy on area and it worked almost every other time
Edit: before you guys all say it i know everyone knew he was going to minny |

I am sure he is looking at everyones roster right now seeing if they have a number one draft pick who never panned out and then will trade a third or fourth rounder for him and call it a day |

How much better would JT be if the first line center of the islanders was Crosby?
Can't put your best checking line on both players. Just the fact that they are on the same team makes Malkin better. Teams totally key on jT and he still puts up sick numbers.
Not to mention when both Malkin and Crosby are out there on a PP together or if the team playing against them ices the puck you throw them both out against a gassed line.
I think jT is an incredible talent and has done this all basically by himself as far as being a dynamic player. |
