I personally would like to have Landenskog. I think he is a great winger who can play with Tavares. Granted Bailey (I cant beleive I am saying this ) is having a decent season but I still dont trust Bailey at all going forward.
- kasperrko

Exactly my thoughts. We need a dynamic winger for JT more than 2nd line center

Except Landeskog is not dynamic and there aren't any dynamic, scoring wingers available.

Also, a 2nd line center is desperately needed. I don't see how anyone can argue that it isn't our most pressing need.

Two established players even seems too much. One NHL player + picks or prospect would be easiest to stomach. They're in last place and the desperate partner in the trade. I think Nelly & Strome BOTH deserve a longer look. Would rather see Lee over. Nelson. I know Lee is playing very well with JT but so is Bailey. Brock is 4pts behind Lee and NOT on JT's line. He has a filthy wrister whereas Lee cleans up a lot of garbage and is easier to replace. Hamonic & Strome would be ok, if no other trade bait gets it done.
- jmo16

None of that is unreasonable, and I don't think they trade two roster players either. I do disagree about the Lee/Nelson debate though.

whos the most important player after jt up front? I go with lee, Leddy is #2 on the team. Ladd picking it up may mean hes settled in same with chimera, if thats the case then duchene is the logical choice. Hall was the dynamic winger available and we know how that went. Duchene strome and nelson assumind one isnt moved would be a nice second line, followed by ladd chimera and beau/ barazl next year

I don't think there is one "most important forward" after Tavares. I think you could make a case for a few guys and not be wrong. That's exactly the problem. They need a solid 2nd center that can elevate another line. If the Tavares line gets shut down, the Islanders lose. It's almost guaranteed. Out of the last 5 games in which Tavares failed to record a point, the Isles lost 4 of them.

yea im starting to think duchene is worth hamonic a 1st and a prospect (not pulock or barzal, of course those are who they want) if we have tavares, duchene, and barzal down the middle those are 3 high skilled guys that can score or set up and would make the team dynamic. It would be like pens with 87, 71 , 81 on 3 different lines. pulock might be the guy to go i hate to say it

I'm getting the Duchene fever.

I think about that Tampa series and think we really need Duchene. Hamonic and a first and another d prospect like chief mentioned before and get it done.

Problem is BAiley is not the long term answer. Right now he is a band aid for that line.
I am hearing Josh Ho-Sang is started to tear it up in the AHL could be an option

You know snow wanted stamkos badly and missed on hall, he needs something, the owners want a splash this is the guy. I believe they can resign him as all these guys seem to love Long Island. Also I compared them to the pens however im not saying they would be as good as those 3 but it would be similar, outside of chicago and maybe dallas who else has two guys like 87, 71?

I honestly can't make up my mind. The way Pulock is playing is making it harder and harder to entertain the idea of moving him. I really am having a tough time deciding who I'd be OK parting with and who I would not be OK parting with. I don't envy Snow on this one.

I'm not saying we don't need a winger and that Bailey is the long-term answer....I'm simply saying that there are not any "elite" (I detest that word. Thanks, Eli) wingers available for trade.

A splash would sure help with all the building mess going on. I would be great to have another offensive threat.

ho sang and tavares want the puck and theres only one out there, dal colle is a sniper and may be the best fit. Lee in front tipping, screening, and getting the garbage and dal colle finishing shots that bailey misses. you have set up man(jt really can do it all) sniper, and the net front
From ek but still can we please lose out to the same team twice
Matt Duchene...

Montreal is by far the most aggressive team in on Matt Duchene. This has clearly become their target and Claude Julien knows him well and wants him on the Habs..

I'm just afraid Snow is going to overcompensate for his lack of doing-anything in the past. I hope it doesn't show itself in the form of a terrible trade.
- eichiefs9

Yeah it's a fear of mine also. Completely plausible he's either one extreme or the other with just about everything. Trading Pulock to me is just stupid forget about Pulock ++

Hopefully L and M don't let Snow do anything major at the deadline and the Isles miss the PO's and Snow's ass gets canned.

We deleted one of the problems from this organization by firing crappy and now only one remains and this team won't take the next step with the same GM running things iMHO.

Tough to route against this team but I'm doing it for the benefit of the team in my eyes. I have had enough of the Snow regime.

You may not need to root against them 7 if the Isles continue their normal road play. I'm still hoping the Isles make the playoffs and if they do not go on a long playoff run Garth is gone. Have a bad feeling Garth will return. Just no idea what president will be hired that is ok with Garth staying? Unless Garth will not have any sort of real power?

I hope your wrong about Garf Bag returning, Ses. We waited for years for Crappy to go and again I feel we have had enough of the Back up goalie turned on the job training GM.

Hopefully L and M will hire an experienced, qualified hockey mind as the PoHO's and I'm pretty sure if that's done Garf's time will be limited. Fingers crossed !!!!!
Never like to see anyone lose their job but I think we have enough, again just my opinion.

I hope I'm wrong as well 7. I think it's more than enough time he goes. I hope JT is not saving his job. If Garth makes a big deal for Duchene, I doubt he is going anywhere.

I think it's time to strap Berube to a spaceship and blast him into outerspace. Let Halak come back and see how he fares. Can't be worse than JFB.

I agree. Time for Halak to get the call again.
