Is there a pic showing the goalies from both eras that players were shooting on, and a chart showing the numbers of cigarettes per day that the defenseman were smoking?

Its unfortunate to see, but in Yakupov's case it seems like Edm was likely not the problem unlike Schultzy

This argument will go on forever, but I 100% agree.

Sid, Ovie, Geno, etc.. those guys in the mid 80's to mid 90's? Their point totals are definitely more than they are now.

I will say though, Gretz and Mario were other-worldly. They may not put up the same totals in today's game, but I still think they dominate in a way that makes Sid and Ovie look ordinary.

He seemed like a terrible fit for the Blues.....especially under hitchCOCK. I would still give up a low round draft pick to see what he could do with a team like the Pens. Granted, I've seen almost zero Blues games this year.

I poked holes in your overall trade, because you wanted to trade 4 pieces for 3 pieces in some absolutely ridiculous trade proposal that included Schultz, Eric Gyrba and Teddy Purcell for like Kunitz, Cole, a 1st, and someone else. I said THAT was a bad trade, because it was. Once GMJR acquired Schultz for free, as a low reward, high risk move, I liked it. Get your facts straight idiot.

Analytics for mediocre teams can be so misleading... thats why every team sends scouts to watch players and then possibly form a secondary conclusion with analytics after several hockey staff review actual play. Yes Arizona and Florida are big on it... but ummm they haven't won anything yet. I've watched Hutton for a year and a half on tv and would definitely take a stab if the price is not high. Good teams must always look to take good young players from the other teams that are struggling with them.

You know I just finished sitting through my nephews practice. 10-11 year olds here in Ontario Canada the most competitive and talented cradle for developing talent in the world. There was 80 kids that tried out for the team and only 20'that made it. Some of these kids could grow up to be OHl players or college players and even NHL players. The kids that made it were judged on talent, position, coachability, drive, etc. Not one of them made it because they had good metrics on their hero charts.

Oh I have. I've poked holes in just about every one of your retarded trade proposals or opinions. And when I do it I use facts and statistics to form my opinions. You just choose to ignore them because they prove you wrong. Kinda like when you wanted to trade 3 players and a 1st (if I recall correctly) for gyrba, Schultz, and Purcell. Which was awful because gyrba sucks, Schultz was gotten for free, and Purcell, while a decent player, was not worth acquiring for whatever pieces you wanted to part with.

Oh, and the fact that you think Minnesota should trade one of their good defenseman for Carl Hagelin (hahahaha) when they are 4th in the league in gf and 2nd in GA is dumb as well. Minnesota has one of the best offenses in the league as well as defense and you expect them to change? If anything they'll add using ahl prospects and picks.

If MIN makes any moves it will be after this season before the draft.

I did read rumors that they wanted to upgrade a RW though.

I get that. It just seems no coach (Eakins, McLellan nor Hitch) had much faith in playing him. Damaged goods and perhaps shot confidence with eakins, but hell yea, I'd give him a shot (although i think the defense/net-side will see more activity near the TDL)

I remember seeing his junior highlights and then watching him in the worlds and just not being impressed. Hes fast but spazy with the puck, over skated everything, didnt really have good touch. He would make a good checker wwithh some offensive upside if he wasnt russian.

Ahead of schedule. 4-6 weeks was downgraded to 3-4 weeks. I think the injury was two weeks ago.
