Without even reading another word from the guy from Florida with the lame litttle dog picture I promise to ignore him completely if he promises to do the same because I know how tedious the entire thing can be to people who don't care either way. All I want is a space where I can bounce ideas off of real fans of this team without being unfairly ridiculed by some condescending little b!tch who brings nothing to the table but negativity and little else. Can't remember one original thought he has brought to the table. Definitely don't see anyone rushing over to read his blogs though. |

Pens butchered that OT. Owned the puck and were able to make the change and keep Cbus on the ice. Terrible.
Cbus doesn't worry me anymore. They can't play with a healthy Pens team. Pens were the better team for 2 periods after a very tough game last night. Bob is the only player that would concern me. |

Agreed. BUT. That's if the pens stay healthy, which hasn't been the norm this season:/ |

Murray with a great game. Hell of a save on that break.
Bonino is lost on me right now. In the playoffs he seemed to have such great awareness and play making ability, now he seems behind on the play. More and more I think HBK was a lighting strike.
Wouldn't hurt to finish a check now and then either. |

It's such a weird predicament. Like.. on one hand this season is making his price tag after this season drop (one would assume at least) and on the other.. do they even want to resign him??? |

With that (frank)ing tool Dubinsky on their team it worries me. Him scoring that goal tonight only emboldens him more I think. Especially with the way playoffs are called.

Right now I think it's a no. Going back and watching the playoff run he was making so many effective plays and the line seemed to compliment each other so well. Now he seems like an old muffler just dragging along behind.

So Penguins talking to the Blues about Shattenkirk, wonder if the Penguins are on the list of teams he would be willing to go to. Apparently he did so recently??? not sure think i read that somewhere.
What would be the deal. I imagine a sign and trade type deal or the team he goes to has a deal set up already with him.
i think it was teams he was willing to negotiate with?? again not too sure |

This is the way I could see it: pens can trade for shattenkirk, extend him at around 5.5 mil, and then would protect him, letang, dumo, and Schultz. They'd then trade maatta before the expansion draft to maybe get back a 1st or some prospects.
Are the blues looking for a goalie? Would a Pouliot, maf, conditional 1st deal work? |

I don't accept this loss. The media fed us a fake OT period. They shipped in other hockey players and dressed them in Penguins and CBJ uniforms. |

Isn't maf ugh after this year also?
Blues don't need a goalie right now. Allen has his head straight finally and is a competent goalie with adequate defense which we did not have for the first part of the season.
Pouliot not familiar with.
Would you guys take Bouwmeester instead? Puck moving lefty dman but has a 5-6 mill contract for a few years i believe. ha ha.
we could sit here and play armchair gm but Armstrong isn't going to move Shattenkirk cause he believes this team has a chance at a cup again this year. He might move him if someone drastically overpays, but he has so far been looking for the sky for value as a return as this has been going on now for 2 seasons.
My best guess is Shattenkirk either resigns with the Blues and we dump someone else or he walks come July 1st
Ek can talk all he wants but if Army really wanted to move Shatty he would have been moved already.
Pens don't have a high enough pick for Army to trade him. Boston last year offered a 14 overall and that was laughed at |

Yea, never understood why they wouldn't want to resign shattenkirk and dump jbo or something. I'd think the blues would be the ones to go after duchene. They could use an extra scoring punch
