I won't get into the rest of this because I'm rather weary of it, but are they really? I'm pretty sure the only thing that Chiarelli has mentioned is that they're looking for a RH PP QB. I don't recall anything being said about a two-way top pairing guy as Sekera and Klefbom have both been stepping up since game 30ish. - MaximumBone

What has Hall done? Sure he's put 37 points, but has he made an impact for the Devils? No.
Taylor hall is vastly overrated. He tries to do everything on his own and turns the puck over alot. Amazingly talented player and I don't hate the trade, but look at devils inability to get the puck out effectively. Larson is missed. Not saying it was a bad trade, but just that dman are more valuable and Larson is a minute muncher who gets the puck out effectively at a young age on a great contract. - TwoPumpChump91

He's been okay but a lack of a consistent partner has killed him. Way more rookie mistakes than last season. Think the offseason will do him some good.

I've literally never seen anyone saying Cagg should be sent down.
Calgary fans thought he was great. He sure has helped the team a lot.
We can go back and fourth on Kassian all night. But at the moment you haven't said anything to back it up.
I said he drafted good. Bear is PPG as a dman. he went 124th. Also I forgot to mention Dylan Wells. 91.6 save percentage in the OHL. Really has carried Peterborough.
Larsson is fifth on the team in ice time. Doesn't play powerplay either. He has 53 turnovers. Draisaitl has 50, McDavid has 40, Sekera has 59, Klefbom has 46. It turns out, the more you have the puck, the more you turn it over.
Klef is also on an amazing contract

Also worth factoring in that everything we've seen about this management has seen then relatively tight-lipped about trades, so it wouldn't be a stretch to assume he's just hiding his intentions.

I'm aware of the possibility, but I'm also not going to assume he lies about everything- especially considering the fact that he says he'd love to add a PP Dman in that same interview I just posted. Fleury struggled out the gate this year but has picked it up since. He's physically ready for the NHL and has great skating but needed to make the mental jump to the pros. He's really come on of late, and might get a call up before the season is over.
McKeown, on the other hand, has struggled quite a bit more. He's getting better but it's taking him a lot more time to adjust to the AHL. Think things came to him too easily in Junior last year.
Right now I think the order of progression on D for call ups goes:
Haydn Fleury
Trevor Carrick
Jake Bean
Roland McKeown

Yes, but hiding his intentions BY lying. Also, it seems like he was talking about rentals more than anything. As with Maroon last year, he doesn't seem to be a fan of rentals in most situations.

Exactly. How exactly does lying about being happy with his defense and only looking for a PP Dman serve his purpose? Try to dispell the assumption of desperation maybe? I don't know, but I think that's already been done be having a winning record.
I can see an avenue where him saying he isn't interested in rentall might lead to even just one team assuming they're not in on a player when in fact they still are, but it don't see that serving much of a purpose, either.

Taylor Hall has 37 points on the season and 37 hits. Lucic has 31 points on the season and 142 hits. I don't think the Oilers are too concerned about having Lucic over Hall, let alone the defence man they got in the trade who has 176 hits so far this season. So if anybody wonders why the Oilers are harder to play against, the 318 hits Larson and Lucic brought could be a good reason, let alone having Hall skate a hundred miles an hour up the ice and loose the puck and have the rest of the team have to turn around and retrieve the puck from their own end zone. - Woowy
Lucia has spent most of the year on a line with Connor McDavid......hall has spent the the entire season on a line not with Connor McDavid.......that's all you need to know about their production.
