my friend and I had what we called our "Lucky Guy" card...the card that seemed to win the most hockey card matches for us....his was Dennis Ververgaert(canucks) and mine was Mickey Redmond (Wings)

Well thats not entirely true.
Stuff from the 90s and early 2000s they mass produced and the values tanked..but high end and older stuff can be huge money

MB seems to like certain toys...even when he is given new one, Carrado, Griffen, Marchyenyko ..he just tosses them aside and keeps playing with his old ones

Biggest surprise for me is Nazem Kadri, he's playing the best hockey of his career and his putting up big numbers, acting as a true #2 centre for the Leafs, making it easier for the young guys to produce. Zaitsev and Marner deserve a mention as well for players exceeding expectations.

Biggest disappointment would have to be Rielly. On a team where he's obviously the most talented defenseman, and with all the energy coming from the arrival of Matthews, Marner, Nylander etc. You would have expected Rielly to take that "next step", to become the true #1 defenseman this team desperately needs. Unfortunately, he's had a very "meh" year and left alot to be desired with his inconsistent play.

Yeah, it's a pretty tough transition into being "The Guy" on D for an NHL team. Faulk still has his rough patches and he's 24 now.
