Hard to believe the Sabres actually won a game vs the Blues.

Forget all the missed or bad calls up to the very LAST minute of game and Lehner isn't allowed to Stand In His Crease! What a Joke of a Call......You guys were lucky to snag the Sh goal on our Slowest D-Man
- MEBSabresFAN

Lehner isn't allowed to stick his stick out to trip someone. He did. Soft call, but a much better call than the incredibly weak hooking that gave you a 5 on 3; and the refs made up for it with all the cross-checks and hooks they let you pull after that call in the last minute of the game.

Several calls were missed on St. Louis. But the bad officiating was heavily, heavily in favor of Sabres.

Something tells me I would want more than one game to make that type of call.
- Mentalorgasm5

Sure, but Nylander certainly has skill. Bailey looks comfortable on line 2.

We almost have up 40 shots again. You don't think we need help on D to become a contender?
- sbroads24

Absolutely I do ............ I don't like our D at all. It will be addressed but I'm not giving up anyone you mentioned to get it.

Taylor Hall, an arguably more valuable lwer than Kane fetched that turd Larsson. Boy, I can't wait to see the top pairing dman Kane gets us.

No his stick was on his side. He didn't move it, Steen(I believe) skated through the crease and into the stick.

In a perfect world we get one in FA, but that might not be realistic

Let me rephrase, Reinhart or Kane. To get a top 2 D man.

Does anyone really think they are irreplaceable with how Eichel can make his linemates better?

- sbroads24

D doesn't seem to be the problem with our goalie GAA being so good.

I'd rather move Nylander than Kane or Reinhart. Too often players don't live up to their potential. I'd trade Nylander, Bailey and Baptiste in a package before I'd move Kane or Reinhart.

So would all of us, but that probably doesn't get us far.

Depending on the D man, we would be fine

Naaaah. One game is plenty. And then later we can complain about how Jack doesn't have enough help.

The number of shot were giving up IS unsustainable though. Just not sure that giving up our top 6 wingers is a good way to go. Especially as how everyone is fond of telling us how Kane is a cancer and is terrible, and Rhino is slow and wasn't worth the pick. If these guys suck as bad as folks say, what can be expected to come back to us?

No, but I have actually read the rule book. You know, the one where it says goalies aren't allowed to interfere or trip players, even in the crease, unless it's part of the process of making a save.

I'm totally in favor of using a winger not named Kane and Reinhart and our 1st for a real defender. Maybe you need to add. But addition by subtraction doesn't start with those two.

Great goalie play and a scoring offense can mask a weak D all day long ........if we can just clean up the PK we can compete with anyone except the top couple of elite teams right now.

Just a question, if I may?

How many points do we have if you replace FRANSON w/ GHULE (with another yr of exp under his belt, to start in 2017)?

I could see that switch alone gain us 4pts over 84 games

Neither does Kane or Reinhart. Patience. Wait until the offseason when 4 or 5 teams hands are forced due to the expansion draft. All of a sudden a 1st and top prospect will look very good for a defenseman you are about to give away.

We in reality have 0 clue how good Guhle is.

I like him as a prospect, and seems promising. But he might need 2 years until he's a top 4

Skating into his stick and rolling with it is an easy play to get the penalty.

Right now, worse. Easily.

Franson is literally the only D man that doesn't get hammered in shot attempts against every...single...game..
